I was at Walmart and noticed that they had a 20 Watt USB-C wall charger on sale for $3.50

I grabbed the last one, but I looked it up online and the price is showing $3.95, although it appears to be only available at stores with local inventory.

Update: I checked a store that had it in-stock and it let me add it for pickup and it also appeared to let me place an order without charging a small-order fee, even though I don't have W+ So you might be able to place an online order for local pickup where available.

For reference, I decided to check a few random areas in Georgia, Texas, and Cali and found some stores that appear to have stock available to order, so there seem to be some out there (zip codes 30331, 94577, 75243 for examples)

Obviously, you never know with those deals … I'm not sure how readily available it is, but might be worth a look. Let me know if anyone places an online order for local pickup without Walmart +

In-store, this was in the aisle with surge strips and things like that, not the main electronics aisles (probably depends on the store though).

Note that this is a pretty basic power brick and might not be what you want as your main charger, but hard to beat the price as a backup for travel, etc.

Anyway, here's the link …

Nice find! There is one in my area but it's……12 miles away so it blows the deal for me, but these are nice hanging around even though my preferred phone doesn't use it / will obviously be helpful - if there's a couple at your store buy a few. Walmart store buyers are good @ their job for the most part with mobile device accessories if you pay attention.

Yeah, I was thinking of picking up another, but the store with stock is a few miles farther than I usually go. And I don't really need another charger, lol. But the idea of placing an online order for pickup still kind of intrigued me. I don't have W+ anymore and I could have sworn that I previously saw a fee for small orders, even if it was for in-store pickup. But with this, it looked like it was just going to be $3.95 plus tax. However, I stopped just before actually placing the order, so I'm not sure how that works. Anyone know what the norm is for placing online Walmart orders for local pickup these days? Is it free to do that even for small orders now (without W+)? I haven't ordered anything like that since my subscription lapsed.

Are you able to confirm the charging modes? My guess is that this is a phone-optimized charger supporting 5V at up to 3A and 9V at up to 2.22A (meeting the claim of "fast charging" as 18W charging using the 9V Power Delivery mode is sometimes marketed this way.

Good luck!

Looks like the output modes are 5V at 3 A, 9V at 2.22 A, or 12V at 1.67 A

Nice to see support for the optional 12V mode.

Nothing that helps many devices (especially laptops) but certainly handy for the tablets and other devices which do work with 12V PD.

Good luck!
