The program will still work after EOL. It just means that updates and support will end. I was using Office 2003 until recently when I switched to 2021. 2003 still works just fine.
But like, what about all the new words that came out since then? How do you type them up? Screenshot and paste them as gifs?

These are not gray market. (You can get gray market codes for under $10 each.) I posted direct links above to show that the sellers have Microsoft Partnerships.

I hope this helps,

Nothing says legit quite like "license tom llc"..... Overview talks about LeadSoft in Bangladesh. Key is for pro "plus" not just pro. Yeah, totally not gray market keys....

laugh out loud Well, I haven't run into any of them new-fangled words yet that I have had to type, so at this point I probably never will. But just in case, they can be added to my Windows XP spell checking dictionary. (Just kidding on the XP).

Isn't Office 365 subscription-only? I'd rather pay once and use forever.
If you want/need cloud storage then 365 is the best option. If you only work on a single machine then this is the best deal.

Presumably for the life of the program. Just installed this a few days ago and the license key worked without any problems. If i ever have to reinstall this in future, will see at that time if there are any hiccups.

Good question, I also have the same question.
365 has the ability to rip stock quotes of the web easily...a feature that used to come with Office back in the day until MS probably realized this would be a great way to make people subscribe endlessly to 365.

These are all just gray market keys. I personally would rather just use the MAS scripts instead to activate office for free - it's as legitimate as these keys are.

even though you're right, I like the convenience to pay $5 for a key that Microsoft will validate and give me a proper install

scripts? that's so old school. you're going to validate the script? lol

If y'all actually want legitimate sell-to-single-consumer office keys for a decent discount, you can buy the 2019 physical copies on eBay. Just make sure it's a sealed box which are not very difficult to find. Like with all eBay items, make sure the seller has good reviews.

365 comes with free 1tb storage per yr. that alone would cost at least $150 on google storage
Google one is $10/month for 2TB, I use it for photo backup via Google photos.

Isn't there a version of Office that comes with Windows? I haven't bought Office for years and yet when I get a new computer I decline to pay extra for Office (whatever year) — and when I start Windows for the first time I decline all offers to pay for Office 365 and anything else — and yet I get Office every time. I only use Word and occasionally Excel and whatever version I get does more than I need

There is a basic free version of the Office tools that are online at Office.com That might be what you are thinking off. Those are web based vesrions but work well for 90% of what 90% of people need.
