At least ill be able to buy some walmart gift cards on walmart.com. That way i can use them when i need to rather then during those 3 months. Walmart gift cards come in Handy during Black friday and also can be used at Sams Club

Somehow I find my Amex to be useless. They don't have any good deals. Most of the merchant offers they usually have is from boutique stores we never shop from. Their points back are slim as well. Only reason I keep the Amex card is because of their paid $25 car rental insurance. It's an excellent insurance to buy when renting a car.

I was hoping it wouldn't come to this. Supposedly the Capital One Walmart card benefit will continue for the current cardholders; we shall see in time.

dont buy all at one. Buy what you need each month so you can save more with HYSA. Unless you need to spend 1.5k at once.

I have a discover cashback student cc, the promotion was 0% apr for 6months. Haven't been using after the promotion is over.


Had a chat for 5mins, and informed about possible offers. The representative gave 2 offers i. to have a lower interest apr or
ii. 0% apr for the next 12 months.

opted for the 2nd, being a student.

Yes, I did it last year, basically $1,300 of my $1,500 spend at my grocery store was for GCs (the rest was actual groceries) and the only issue I had was, I guess my grocery store got suspicious of the sudden increase in Amazon giftcard sales and started to check IDs for all giftcard sales. I asked why and they said it was to make sure I wasn't falling for the "buy a giftcard and send me the gifcard card info scammers". I LOL'd but it made sense for them to check.

Chase had it in Q1 this year and I did it then too, no issues.

I got the walmart card, since target likes to price gouge based on zip code.. my main peeve now is certain products are perpetually NOT AVAILABLE FOR SHIPPING?!? WTF is up with that?

I've been given that same excuse in the past, we are looking out for you. I guess it's their way of not appearing to be hostile but it doesn't make sense to demand ID.
