At least ill be able to buy some walmart gift cards on walmart.com. That way i can use them when i need to rather then during those 3 months. Walmart gift cards come in Handy during Black friday and also can be used at Sams Club
Somehow I find my Amex to be useless. They don't have any good deals. Most of the merchant offers they usually have is from boutique stores we never shop from. Their points back are slim as well. Only reason I keep the Amex card is because of their paid $25 car rental insurance. It's an excellent insurance to buy when renting a car.

I don't know the coverage details. But I've had an incident in the past. Enterprise called me a few days after my rental saying there was damage to the undercarriage. There was no accident of any sort during my rental, and I had no idea where it came from. I had pictures of the car when I left it, but they said it was under the car — which seemed preposterous to me. It could have been any previous renter.

Anyway, luckily I had the Amex insurance. I just called the Amex line, gave them the info and that was it. They handled everything. I didn't have to file anything or fill any forms. They dealt with Enterprise directly. I didn't have to pay a penny, and it was all very trouble-free for me.

If you take insurance directly from Enterprise, it's indeed worrying-free but it's $12 a day. After two days you break even with the Amex insurance, which covers you for 30-days. For any rental over two days I always take the Amex insurance. Of course, I don't know the ins and outs of various coverages. This was a decade ago so things might have changed, but my one interaction with them has been as pleasant as it could have been.
I'm guessing employees wreck cars and blame the last renter.

LOL there was no lecture here. Just a statement of fact.

BTW I would suggest Chase in case you don't want to deal with reimbursement. They both talk to each other and you don't have to pay a penny out of pocket. It's clean AF.
how much does chase charge per rental? and don't lecture us if you don't know the diff between secondary vs primary coverage. there is no free primary coverage with any no-annual-fee cards in the USA.

NEVER AGAIN!!! I had this card and it totally screwed with my otherwise perfect credit. I made two large purchases and before I could pay them off in full my credit utilization went up and these dirt bags lowered my credit limit, which lowers your credit score. They fixed the credit limit upon complaint. THEN DID IT AGAIN!!! Neither my Chase Sapphire nor my Amex Platinum budged at all. This card SUCKS, so not worth the bullshit.
SCREW YOU DISCOVER, I hadn't been below 800 credit score in years!!!

Sadly the CSR is a paid card, but it is primary, which is great.
I would recommend the CSP, for $95 per year you get primary insurance from them. No additional per rental fee.
None of the cards provide liability insurance. I'm not sure why.

Sam's club not eligible either.

Purchase walmart GC from walmart. And use them at Sam's Club. 😄

I'd like to get Walmart E.gift card, which are sold via website https://giftcards.walmart.com/

Am I correct thinking that this is a legit Walmart website?
If I buy e.gift card by using my Discover CC, then this is qualified for 5% rewards, correct?
Thanks for help.

I have a Discover It Chrome rewards card and agent says my card isn't eligible...I don't understand

EDIT

I guess the Chrome cards aren't eligible for the 5% quarterly rewards offers and they took off the option to switch rewards type but may put it back in the future

I purchased physical Walmart gift cards using through PayPal to get the 8% CB on top of the Discover 5%, but Discover doesn't reflect the 5% CB. Anybody have success in double dipping with PayPal?

Why would Discover give you 5% CB on a PayPal purchase? PayPal purchases are not in this quarter bonus categories. You only going to get 5% CB during PayPal qualified quarter on any PayPal purchase, even at Walmart. Smh.

You don't purchase with PayPal. You checkout with PayPal but use your discover card that's added to PayPal. I would also like to know if you can stack. PayPal currently has a 8% offer if you checkout on Walmart purchases using PayPal. Then you add your discover card to your PayPal and theoretically you could get 8% from checking out with PayPal and 5% from using your discover card that was added to PayPal.

It's not a dumb question. Using Apple Pay does not change the category of the purchase for rewards purposes. Paypal may not either. You are not buying from Paypal, you are using them as an intermediary. Your Discover card will show "Paypal - Walmart..." or something similar. In the future try having some humility and consider that perhaps you do not know the answer to everything before you decide to answer like you do.
