Want to chime in on this also. We got ours off best buy and the first one came with a dent in the side, box looked fine though. Best buy swapped it out. The replacement was working fine until recently, about a year and a half, and now if the cold switch is on, it appears to freeze the lines or something because both cold and cool stop flowing after a while. If we turn off the cold switch, eventually it starts flowing again. Support sent me some steps and things to look for, but surprised it had a problem already.

Same happened to me. I followed the steps and it was freezing the water in the tank so cold water wouldnt flow. The issue is with the thermometer and there is no way to fix it according to them. They offered me a 15% discount on a new one. I gave up on and bought a primo dispenser from costco since avalon didnt care about selling a faulty product.

Nope, my Primo has worked for seven years. Recently, it failed on me, but that was only the pump, which I swapped for 30 bucks. It is still running like a charm.

5+ years here. It is pretty YMMV based on reviews. I will say it is VERY loud. It rattles a lot when the compressor is on. Outside of that it's been really nice. It's nice looking and works well.

Curious to know if everyone who's had problems with these units let them stand upright for 24 hrs before starting them up. Mine has been going strong for 3+ yrs.

I bought this a few years ago and loved it...until the warranty expired. The cold button would not dispense any cold water. BUY THE EXTENDED WARRANTY. Read the "most recent" reviews on Amazon. This product will crap out after you're out of warranty.
