So....love my blackstone. I have the air fryer version, 28". Got it at Walmart for $349.99 brand new in sealed box. I have to say that if you do air fry but don't want to stink up your home, that is it.

The air fryer itself gets a 3.5/5 stars, it isn't as stellar as a more modern one...but you can forget the stink, so I'm all in on that one. It also comes with bun warmers if you're into that stuff, I just ignore that drawer. For the price, I'd keep an eye out for an air fryer version, either 28" or 36" (i think the larger is a waste of gas unless you frequently cook for many), that also has this built-in table / stand, like this $499.99 one. That will be my next purchase as long as its $399.99.

Larger surface area needs more gas (propane gas) to correctly heat the cooking area for a prolonged time. Is this thing on or am I on fire again?

Could you just turn on the burners under the cooking area you need? I'm asking as I don't have one, but am always thinking about picking up a griddle like this one.

I went shopping at Costco last Saturday and they have a similar "Blackstone 36" gas griddle with hood & front shelf" model with SKU #1091765 for $369.99.

So I believe that some older models have 'holes' in their rails (like mine) and they are segmented R & L, so you can control the heat that way.

On the new ones, some have valves, a whole different beast: please let me know how adjustable they are as I'm 100% happy with my old model but my ears are always open.

That was my point. Should be very little gas "lost" because of size of unit.
