Basically 15% discount to buy Uber GCs using Discover cash back balance. The largest single e-certificate is $200, but there are many smaller denominations available as well.

Redemption of e-certificate is easy... just log in to Uber and add + into GC balance.

Kind of a waste to use on Uber since gift cards are regularly on sale for 10 percent off.

I'm gonna hold off for the Shell deal 😂
I did. Didn't redeem anything from 2020 and I just cashed out for Uber. I was losing 5% to inflation for the last four years and it makes no sense to hold for shell. Uber at 15% is good enough for me

I don't know how that guy is wrong with 10-15% because no one's replying to him lol, they're just thumbing down his comment. Maybe it's supposed to be 15-20% like regular service workers (blah blah, i'm sure some people say 20% minimum) or maybe it's actually not expected?

It may just be dependent based on location anyways. Some states/countries may be banning tipping in general, some states Uber drivers make significantly less than minimum wage so you should tip more than normal, maybe their considered as an employee with benefits and not a gig worker so you can tip less?

Either way, tipping's dumb. It should always be considered a bonus and not a majority of someone's salary.
which states did they ban the tipping culture? i will move there woot

Whoops! Don't know why I said "banning", not sure if it's been banned anywhere. I was just trying to draw a contrast between somewhere like Chicago where they're trying to make minimum wage not based on tips (tips optional) and somewhere like South East Asian where they are typically more against tipping.

Yes, the Uber Eats and Uber wallet credits are interlinked. Can be used for either service.

Edit: wow I just got ratio'd EEK!

Distance / 2 is considered reasonable according to all my uber/doordash mates.

5% more for the Amazon gift card seems like a decent deal.

I can only speak for uber eats cuz that's what I use for 99% of the time. In New York City, they increased the delivery fee on orders to cover the guranteed minimum wage pay lol. Can't win, fee has to dump onto someone. It is what it is. Only use when they have like 40/50% off lol

+1 to that. I actually got in on the last Shell deal that I heard anything about, but that was literally years ago.

Good when interest rate was at 0%. Now it is costing you 5+% annually for waiting

With Capital One taking over, maybe wait will be worth it?

I stopped tipping once that started. Now that the delivery people essentially get a salary from that extra $2 fee Uber is forced to charge you, there's no reason to tip them anymore.
