Lexivon didn't do well in the Project Farm test: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HP4uECoH8cc
Maybe these are the new normal prices.

I can't speak to the upvotes, but it looks like there are about 28,000 reviews for the first link I clicked that seem very happy with their Lexivon torque wrench.

I picked one up a couple years back that I've used for some automotive stuff and seemed very solid (I haven't calibrated it, but the torque seems within spec).

If you want a cheap one. Nothing beats harbor freight. When it eventually fails, just return it for a new one with their warranty.

Do you actually own this to say this? I have one and it works fine. Where i work has a calibration lab and it calibrates fine and holds calibration for my use. Finish is good. case is good. What are you looking for in an inexpensive torque wrench that this is not giving you?

Except you're buying a precision tool that is known not to be very accurate. Sure it's easy to return when it fails, but how many things does one have to mis-torque before they realize it needs replacement? Not many people buying this level or price point tool have the equipment to check calibration(s).

I have a couple that are just way, WAY out of calibration --- like less than half rated torque. I would imagine the internal springs are not in good shape. Will harbor freight actually exchange them?

I wasn't aware that you're supposed to detension them when not in use. Learned that here on Slickdeals.

I also have lexivon tools including their quarter inch torque wrench and I've been very impressed with it. Their soldering torch has been my mainstay winter wood stove igniter for 3 years and has not leaked any gas or failed in any way.

The bike kit code is marked as expired, but just worked for me. The reviews seem great, made in Taiwan, looking forward to trying it out.
