Truthfully, I am not so keen at all on the Matte coating and my current Samsung Neo G7 32 inch has a Matte coating and it makes certain content not look as vibrant and clear especially for certain gaming situations. I am a little bit confused as to why they decided to go with this coating and I hope this generation is an improvement over the previous years versions and from the latest LG WOLEDs that don't look as good as they could due to the matte coating. I really am anxious to see how some of the top reviewers see this coating.
I really think it's worth it considering with EDU Samsung the price came out to be
My cost before tax, credit and CB
https://ibb.co/99hFfcX
Discounts that appeared to get to the $519. EDU/EPP discount, Samsung Rewards Credit Discount, Promo Code for $50 off $1000 (newsletter and then adding $14 microSD Card - can go cheaper but cheapest 32 GB somewhat useless), CB 10% plus CB Bonus Boost of $50 activated
This deal is pretty enticing, though. The 4k and burn in protection is tempting. Anyone have any thoughts as to which one to choose for non-fps gaming?
Samsung - 32" Odyssey OLED G8 or
Alienware - AW3423DWF or maybe LG?
Currently I have two of dell 27" and want to upgrade them to one or two new one, and want to get something bigger and probably with curved screen. Would appreciate any suggestions

-$50.00 - Coupon for $50 off for $1,000 or more purchase by signing up for their "Samsung Offer Program" e-newsletter.
-$300 - Samsung Gift Card
-$95 - 10% CB
=$554.99 Total
If the additional CB goes through:
-$38 - 4% browser CB
=$516.99 Total
Threw in a SD card as a filler item to get the total above $1,000.
My 10% CB just hit my inbox, so using the Samsung $50 newsletter coupon doesn't invalidate CB. Waiting for the browser CB, which may not work given terms saying using a coupon will invalidate.
1) As mentioned burn in is better managed but not impossible
2) text clarity is not wt the level of ips
If i am on a mac, 5k ips monitors are great. Why 5k and not 4k you might ask. Because mac treats 5k natively scaling wise in macos, text is great on the 4k but not as great as a 5k monitor. The apple monitors are amazing but overpriced. A refurb samsung viewfinity s9 is not a bad idea
If i am on pc, 32" 4k miniled are great and "affordable" and gives you the best of both world gaming and productivity without the oled drawbacks
It wont be as good as these gen 3 4k oled 240hz monitors for gaming and entertainment but it will be better for the rest.
I code on 32" miniled 4k 144hz. Looked a lot as those massive samsung 49 and 57 but i am text clarity freak and they werent as good as the 32" 4k miniled

1\ massive flickering on the monitor every time it came back from sleep or power off (seemed to last about 6-7 seconds each time)
2\ the picture blacking out for a second or two every 30 minutes or so
Tried multiple computers, DP cables, graphics cards, same issues.
Rather than go through the Samsung roll of the dice with a replacement and rely on their QC, decided to return this one as well! Sticking with the old tried and true PG35VQ for now.
