Man, really tempted to pick up one of these to use as a TV in our office, but the LG B4 is also open-box for $605.

Wow, unreal price for a monitor that just released a few months ago. If I had it in stock closer, I would give it a shot, but 90 miles roundtrip ($655 Good condition) just to hope there aren't issues is difficult. I prefer the Alienware, but this is of course identical specs for hundreds less, so killer deal.

How much more of a gamble is "good"? Have one if those in stock!

Currently have the 32" odyssey G8 VA monitor. Mostly content with the picture, but scanlines driving me nuts. Is this a major upgrade?

Low risk in my evaluation. My iPad Pro from June was "Good" and I couldn't find a single flaw on it, nor was it missing any of the packaging material or accessories.

"Fair" is a real gamble. Some people report like-new items, I got an iPad that shouldn't have been pout back up for sale.

I don't see the value here. LG OLED C1 or C2, new, for about the same money. I have a 240hz and 120hz is still super buttery smooth to me. I would be careful chasing numbers. Personally, I like immersion during game play. 42" is a gaming beast

Agreed with kyledkat, Good condition have mostly been like new for the 10+ open box items I've gotten over the years outside of a laptop where clearly the wrong computer was returned as a scam. Fair condition can a lot of times be floor models, so I tend to be more careful. I still wasn't willing to risk a long drive in case there were issues, but that would've applied to open box Excellent as well.

I also have the G8 VA monitor ($370 new 6 months ago) and the 34 inch UW1440p Alienware OLED ($770 new 18 months ago) next to it. I've enjoyed them but definitely have some regret not waiting for the 4K 240hz OLEDs to come down in price like this. I don't notice the scanlines, but the picture just doesn't compare to OLED in games with a lot of dark scenes like Alan Wake 2 and then the Ultrawide doesn't scale as well with DLSS and lacks sharpness. I thought I would be happy with this setup, but it just makes me want the best of both worlds like this OLED G8 that much more, so I think it's a great upgrade.
