This monitors "smart" functions completely ruin it. The menu system is so terrible and it defaults to the smart app home screen. even when it was never connected to the internet and / or DNS blocked.

You've owned this monitor on the most recent firmware?

Seems like it works as a monitor on boot without issue. Seeing mixed reviews about smart function... and some people are being pretty particular about accessing tv-like features once they have decided they don't want them.

Was waiting on an Alienware refurb to come back around but this is cheaper if I sell the cans. Biggest comparison gripes against the Samsung are the silver bezel, rtng color accuracy score, and no gsync cert. Prefer matte but will prob go a.ware
