Appears to actually come with the Asus Prime B760M-A AX motherboard.

Which is weird because it also says it has DDR-4 and I don't believe that motherboard supports DDR-4 unless they sourced a version that does.

Anyways, assuming you wanted to replicate this system to the best of your ability using all new parts off the shelf today, you'd spend exactly the same amount before sourcing the OS.

So if you don't like to build, this is a fine deal.

Reviews say it comes with a ASUS PRIME B660M-A D4.... Dunno.

I "dunno" either, but the picture on the product page is not of a Prime B660, it's a B760, and some of the reviews do show a Prime B660, others show a B760, and some don't have the Asus Prime board at all. Just like some don't even have an Asus GPU. I think they list the minimum specs to allow for some flexibility.

Then there's this Q&A with an answer from May 2024:

What model is the motherboard?
A shopperMay 28, 2024

BEST ANSWER: Intel® B760 (LGA 1700) mATX motherboard, PCIe 4.0, two M.2 slots, Realtek 2.5Gb Ethernet, Wi-Fi 6, DisplayPort, Dual HDMI®, SATA 6 Gbps, rear USB 3.2 Gen 2, front USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-C®, Aura Sync
Intel® LGA 1700 Socket: Ready for 13th and 12th Gen Intel® processors
Ultrafast Connectivity: PCIe 4.0, two M.2 slots, Realtek 2.5Gb Ethernet, Wi-Fi 6, rear USB 3.2 Gen 2, front USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-C®
Comprehensive Cooling: VRM heatsink, M.2 heatsink, PCH heatsink, hybrid fan headers and Fan Xpert 2+
ASUS OptiMem II: Careful routing of traces and vias, plus ground layer optimizations to preserve signal integrity for improved memory overclocking
Aura Sync RGB Lighting: Onboard Addressable Gen 2 headers and Aura RGB header for RGB LED strips, easily synced with Aura Sync-capable hardware
CEC Tier II ready

All the same, the rest of what I said is true - this is about the same as the cost of parts alone since the price difference between DDR4/DDR5 and B660/B760 is minimal now.

It has been way too long since I compared desktops. Could someone please let me know if this is a better deal?
