Exactly, this has been even cheaper, I've seen it like $30 at costco. I was going to buy, even with subscription it was worth it, but it is not backward compatible with any other system or dumb garage door openers, instead I just bought $20 wyze cam and added garage door opener, I can just open it from my phone, no subscription required, Camera included with SD card on board for 24/7 recording. I just wish Wyze made keypad attachment.

Also uses a stupid USB micro plug for charging and you have to take the battery completely out. I mean SO many stupid design choices. I plan on getting rid of it as soon as I can find my old keypad.

Crap. Changing the battery on this is cumbersome and without a paid subscription is basically a paperweight.

My advice is stay away from MyQ as a brand.

I had bought their garage door opener years ago and it used to work great. But then they killed any third party API access to force people to use their crappy ad laden app. That means no more HomeKit support. They used to sell an overpriced HomeKit adapter, but that was EOL years ago and had tons of issues, whereas the third party API option was free and worked perfectly.

Ended up replacing mine with a Meross kit a few months ago which has native HomeKit support and zero issues. MyQ wants to monetize us, screw them.

This will only control one door. If you have two garage doors or more you need one for each door. I never got around to looking at the subscription since it failed at my first criteria. If you must have it get it but as others say price has been better.
