Actually just bought one of these refurbs at Ollies for $20, It's really nice and makes great coffee. It has options on how hot and how long you want the warming plate on, has a "bold" setting that slows the coffee rate down for more extraction. Overall looks really nice

Not sure why the "thermal carafe" comment is being downvoted. At the risk of being downvoted myself, I second this. The thermal carafe was a life changing purchase. No burnt coffee, less energy use. Just better all around.

I'm not knocking this deal - which is very slick -just want to sing the praises of the thermal carafe.

Thanks! I never understood what that Bold button on my Cuisinart was doing!

Deal is worth it for the replacement carafe alone. In for 2, thanks OP!

I would never buy a coffee maker with a glass carafe and heating plate. Thermal carafe is the way to go. Worth the extra cost

I love mine, too, but the thermal carafe is only 12 cups. You have to be careful not to fill to the full 14 cup level. I made the mistake of not thinking to let overnight guests know that once and had quite the mess on my counter.

This was a specific model for Costco that they no longer carry. I picked one of these up at Ocean State Job Lot as one of their Crazy Deals for $60. (You pay for the item and they give you a gift card for the amount you paid which can be used for other merchandise in their stores. No, you can't roll them). You have buy it online and pick it up in one of their stores.
Mine looked brand new and works great! I have been using it for a few months now. I believe OSJL gets these shipped directly from Cuisinart to their stores. Came with a 90 day warranty from Cuisnart.

Ocean State Job Lot is New England based, with some stores in NY, NJ, and PA.

I had a thermal carafe but went back to glass. Nothing like being in a hurry and realizing it's empty.

That's correct but it should come with a permanent filter. If you want to use paper filters the cone shape #4 is the filter.

If Costco carried it, refurbished more than likely means returned, inspected, cleaned and repackaged. Not much to go wrong with one of these.

Backlit display cannot be turned off.
It's like a annoyingly bright nightlight.
Had to tape over and peel back to change settings.
Otherwise decent coffee maker.
