In case you have a small balance remaining, I just found out the minimum amount to reload Amazon gift cards have been raised to $5.00 (previously $1).

These are very hard to liquidate unless you plan to convert to something like Amazon or Walmart giftcards. I'm still trying to spend $300 because so many retailers reject them. They can't be added to PayPal or Google Pay to use in-store. Some utilities may accept them, but it's a lot of work to spend.

Please be aware that if you plan to use these virtual Visa cards to buy Walmart gift cards, you can only use them to buy physical gift cards to be delivered to your home. You cannot use them to buy Walmart eGift cards.

Not so long ago, Walmart switched its delivery company from FedEx to a no-name company. Unfortunately I was not aware of that until it was too late as I never had any issue with physical gift cards delivered by FedEx nor had anything stolen from my door (I work from home).

Last week, I ordered a physical gift card from walmart.com. This new delivery company stole my gift card from the envelope in Tennessee during a 3-hour stop shown on the tracking information. When the empty envelope was delivered to my door in Texas, I immediately reported the stolen card to walmart.com. I was promised to receive the replacement card but nothing was sent after 3 days. When I called again, I learned that Walmart did not deactivate the gift card I reported stolen and still let the thief use it at a store in Tennessee 3 hours after I reported it stolen. Now they have refused to send replacement card claiming that the card has been used after delivery. I have made 5 calls to walmart.com including their managers and their gift card department, they still refused to replace the stolen gift card.

This appears to be an inside job and an organized crime most likely involving walmart.com and delivery company as a team because the thief knew to use the gift card only after the status was marked as delivered and walmart.com purposely did not deactivate the gift card after I reported it as stolen. I am trying very hard to fight this organized crime as one person against the entire organization. Any suggestion and help would be greatly appreciated.

Please do not order anything from walmart.com.

You are talking about credit cards that require activation. The issue is with pre-activated gift cards. How to get congress to pass a law to ban all retailers from shipping pre-activated gift cards? The Costco physical gift cards I bought previously were non-activated. I had to call to activate each Costco gift card after receiving it. That is what all retailers should do.
I agree. I doubt they will do something in Congress for something as trivial as this. The only physical GC I would buy is with an online order I can pick up in store. If it requires shipping I would not take that risk.

Same thing happened to me at Walmart, physical gift card shipped by FedEx, although this one never showed delivered. It was a $500 gift card and Walmart refused to do anything about it. I had to open a claim with my credit card company. I doubt a pre-paid card has these protections.
For a $500 Walmart gift card in the mail, I think activation is needed from your walmart.com account

I have ordered two or three in a row, months apart. Never had an order canceled.
Probably some sort of limit issue.

With Costco, I find that I can order a $100 shop card emailed, as soon as it shows up, order another one. After that they cancel any more orders, not sure if this is a coincidence or some sort or limit. I've done this several times but usually months apart.
The third one of mine got cancelled too. It looks like some limitation on daily purchase.

Trying to save money so we can pay it in absurd taxes and Healthcare.
Let me know when you guys have a trick how to save on $1000/month health insurance premiums.
I know how!!! You need to get heavy subsidies on the ACA marketplace. Keep your income down, live cheap, work less, enjoy life, and the gov't will pay a large portion of your health insurance... after all, it's all their fault they won't truly fix our dysfunction for-profit healthcare system. It's absurd and the $$$ influence is too powerful.

I haven't had a problem loading them into ie Walgreens or Burger King and using in store. Takes care of the small change leftovers. Fortunately my insurance and utility still takes these.
Yeah I load them all into my power bill and the don't charge fees and let the credits build.

Anyone having any issues buying stuff at Target via online? I'm gonna use it on the $100 Apple GC deal tomorrow.

Nope... not easy... I am moving (and downsizing) next year to Oklahoma near some family because Texas is too expensive now (and for other reasons).

I know it may not be easy. But I am willing to take the first step.

I just started a petition at change.org 'Prohibit Retailers from Shipping Pre-Activated Gift Cards'

Here is the URL: https://chng.it/fHWQqnxx6K . Please sign the partition if you agree with me. All it asks is your name and email address.

Please share with anyone directly or on social media you think it may help. The more signatures we gather, the more attention we can get from Journalists.

Thank you everyone in advance for signing the petition. Your support is greatly appreciated!

Again, it's $4.05 discount so times 3 that's $12.15 and not $15.

You can get additional cash back from cash back sites. But I just pay this with Paypal which BoA will give me 3%.
Can I see the 2015 screenshot? Thanks
