FWIW you can get way better specd chinese watches with Seiko NH Movements for this $$ or even less.... Sure they aren't Seikos but its not like a Seiko is a collectors piece so there's that.... just saying...

Well I took my aliexpress Chinese watch to the beach for the first time and the waves weren't even that rough. The bezel came off the watch and is lost in the ocean now. I never had an issue with my Invicta that I have used on the beach for 10 years which I know is also Chinese but at least it's a known global company and not some cheap aliexpress company. I suspect Seiko will be good for the beach and ocean.

SKX007s are basically a Seiko fan favorite that they discontinued somewhere around 2019 i think. This probably has hacking and hand winding, which the SKX007 does not. SKX007 has a screw down crown with 200m water resistance, though. Band width on SKX is 22mm and think its just a little thicker but not by much at all. Id prefer the SKX007, but they are hard to get for a reasonable price used now a day. I'd personally get a Seiko King Turtle for about $350 if you have wrists larger than 7 inches.
