+15% off with code MWFD15= $84.15 + tax/ship. Dunno if that's a good deal, but seems like it.

my m18 hackzall barely does the job, cant imagine 12v would be practical at all. maybe for a hobbyist or someone who doesnt care it takes 2x as long to cut something

Exactly - I remember my first recip saw… never even grab the m12 anymore unless it's for light plastic finessed cut. Always Grab the m18 or the 60v Dewalt or the 40v Makita… depending on what blade happens to be installed on each at the current time … 12v hackzall is for noob, smh. Wouldn't even buy it again if I was first starting over with nothing

Ya 12v isn't the problem, the m12 fuel is awesome. This seems to be the brushed though.

Apart any objections about the power and build of this tool, shipping is $8.95 and it doesn't come with a charger.

I'm not sure why the OP is claiming that shipping is free because MAXTool's policy is "For orders under $199, you will only pay a flat fee of $8.95".

So if you are already in the M12 family you probably want a better price without the battery. And if you are not already in the M12 family you will need to buy a charger as well.

Not only that, but Home Depot is selling the tool + battery + charger + bag for $99 [homedepot.com]!

So this particular offer is a poor deal IMO, regardless of your opinions on the tool itself.

Does your deal is brushless or fuel version? Your deal is extremely poor.

Why are you asking me? I posted the link.

If you had checked you would have seen that that the saw is identical to the one posted. The Home Depot deal is much better value than the OP's deal regardless of your opinion of the saw itself.
