I have the 85" x95k and yes it's better than OLED. Side by side comparison to LG C2 and S90C. Love this TV. Hands down. However, if you can wait few months have a feeling you can grab this for high 2ks, if you pay attention. Never been a Sony fan, but this TV made me one! Considering this model is superior to mine, and if you're on the fence, DON'T BE!
Folks, OLED and QD-OLED are mostly superior to a LCD based TV, even QLEDs, and usually considerably so. The primary advantage of more recent QLEDs is the brightness is superior in the higher end models. Yes, some can have a richer color gamut, but in use both types of OLEDs look far better. I have a 83" G4 on order (~$4K) but it's going in a room with a lot of huge windows, so I'm considering a super bright QLED. The 85" Bravia 9 comes to mind but dang that price. I think I'll still with the G4 and if we can't overcome the windows I'll move the TV to our "media room" which is a spare guest bedroom with no reflection issues. The replacement will be a QLED from 85"-115", but I want the best lol.

I have this TV. I also have the G3. I honestly prefer the picture on the miniLED. It doesn't crush details in the dark scenes. The G3 does. Like any OLED. Some episodes of House of dragon are borderline unwatchable on an OLED. If you like watching westerns , the scenes of the sun hitting on the desert are way more vivid on the miniLED. I tend to prefer true whites over true blacks.

Couldn't agree more. The picture just shines effortlessly, naturally. I still smile with every show, low quality or high. It's something you need to live with to fully appreciate and no rtings review could ever do it justice.. somethings in life just can't be quantifiable (not yet anyways)
