This is a great deal! You can save $50 buying refurbished w/ Apple (which is practically like buying new, done it many times) but if you have the Prime visa absolutely grab the 5% cash back ($74) with your card! Also, if you're willing to stretch an extra $200 Amazon has the 14" MacBook Pro w/ M3 Pro CPU, 18GB RAM/512GB SSD and the miniLED display and extra ports (3x USB-C, SD Card & HDMI) available also.

I had this 15 inch Air in my cart but ended up moving up the Apple ladder lol (What the hell, they're usually $1999 so that's still a. Good deal!)

$1500 for the base M3 chip is not a good deal even if it is on sale. This would be a deal around $1200 for its price to performance/specs, but its Apple, so they charge a premium for as long as they can.
Also the Macbook air still only has 2 USB-C ports, which means you'll need dongles or a hub to do any real work.
