Who's the seller?
It's in the title and the description. Woot, it's owned by Amazon.

Looks like I found an answer from woot staff:

"Hi there.

There are no 3rd party sellers on Woot. We are the only seller on our site.

We source product ourselves either direct from companies or through 3rd party vendors. We also obtain inventory from various avenues of Amazon - overstock, lost/found, etc.

We have a long relationship with most of our vendors and they're careful about where they source their products."

So they sell 3rd party vendor stuff as their own. You just won't know it.

Now, will dewalt honor their warranty if I go to them with a canned response of "I bought it through a reputable seller (woot is owned by Amazon)"?
You're seriously asking for more info after being pretty rude in two posts even after realizing your own mistake--I answered who the seller was and you mistook that for a marketplace instead of a retailer. We *should* be LOL'ing together over that misunderstanding and calling it a day.

Nevertheless, because it will help others out, I will answer your question from my own experience. As you have discovered and many people know, Woot is not a marketplace like Amazon--they are considered the seller, regardless of how they source.
DeWalt has never questioned warranty items from Woot for the few items I have had to warranty with them. Virtually no questions asked, replacements or missing parts immediately rectified. Personally, I buy with confidence from Woot all the time, as many others on here do as well. It is ultimately your choice whether you feel the same, as Woot is not *technically* listed as an Authorized reseller.

I am a private individual, I do not represent DeWalt and this was my own personal experience. No one other than DeWalt can give you the official answer.

Good deal but not a great deal. I'd actually compare it to the Amazon listing to get a more accurate representation of the price discount. It's currently $157 and according to camelx3, it drops a good amount of times per year. Still, it's more than 20% off.

Yeah I saw project farm just did a video about them this weekend. He said on the outside and including the packaging, they looked identical. The insides are where they differ. Most of the genuine batteries have Samsung 25r inside. The fakes had no name batteries inside along with either no circuit boards or very basic circuit boards. It's a great video and it made me wary of purchasing just batteries on the Internet.

This is the exact video that helped me catch the fakes i disassembled the batteries and yeah cheap components inside only difference on the outside was a slightly different yellow and molding.
