When trying the Google Play gift card with code GOOG, I got a message saying that the code could not be applied to this order. I went ahead with the order anyway, because I wouldn't mind having the $50, even with no promo, and I did end up getting the promotional credit. So, at least in the case of GOOG, the promo code is not required. The promotion applies automatically.

I still can't get my Lyft gift card to work from last time. Switches between telling me it cannot verify at this time, to try later or that the gift card has already been redeemed. Lyft took down their website, so the only way to communicate with them is through the app and CS is obviously farmed out overseas. They just tell you that it 'looks fine' from their end ad nauseum. Just a heads-up for anyone thinking of purchasing one of those.

I also received the 'promo could not be applied' message for the Google card, and its been almost an hour and I haven't received the credit

$5 can only be used on items sold by Amazon.com. That limits your buying ability.

Be aware it appears the Fandango gift card is only eligible to purchase movie tickets…I cannot load it on my Fandango/Vudu account under payment methods "add a new gift card"…

Under terms and conditions…

just to be sure, buy an Amazon gift card with the chase card and then buy the ACI card with the Amazon gift card
