i have personally seen a lot of amp failures with their previous models. time will tell if they have made improvements in that area.
2 years on the electronics and 5 years on the driver
while the spec says 18Hz that is very misleading because there is no +/- range. in real world usage expect down to about 25Hz (+/- 3dB - typical range for "flat" response). the difference between 18 and 25Hz is significant.
RSL subs are a bit different. they use a compression guide tuning to reduce port noise and improve low end performance. their products can easily outperform subs with larger drivers.
they produce equipment in batches based on demand to keep costs down (no expensive inventory to house). from time to time they will be on backorder but usually within a month they are back in stock. keep an eye out as they also run group buy programs so you can save even more.
bang for the buck RSL subs are hard to beat.

The RP-1400 has a 5 year warranty, and the amp has been upgraded. It's the better sub for $699 but this still looks like a sweet deal depending on what the warranty looks like

I considered the to-14, but it's a little deep for my liking. I didn't check the specs on this yet, but it's likely more realistic.
I briefly had a monolith 12 and almost couldn't even tell it was on so sent it back. Considering even going overkill and do 2 at this price point and symmetry

This can be an amazing value sub if you don't run into plate amp issues. Unfortunately, they do seem to plague this model and are the reason that most people recommend sticking with the new rp line for Klipsch subs. At this price point, it may be worth the risk for some.

Real world measurements show pretty decent response well below 25Hz:
