I got rid of my fire tablet. They are so damn slow it's like using a 1980's pc. Total garbage. Honestly, they should be free.

One of my kids has this one and the other two have the plus. The extra gig of ram makes a huge difference. I wouldn't get fire tablets again, though. I haven't been able to manage them using family link. Would probably go with a decent Chinese tablet next time. Fire toolbox never worked well because these were shipped with newer firmware.

What's a decent Chinese tablet? For the screen size and ram, this seems like a good price.

We buy our kiddo a new ONN tablet every couple years around Black Friday. He games on those things hardcore. Geometry Dash, Among Us, Minecraft all run great on cheapo ONN tablets.

Even so, so damn slow oftentimes. Apps crash so often using basic apps such as chrome, Firefox, VLC, or youtube. I need to research on some of these Chinese tablets mentioned on slick deals

We use these solely for travel/road trips with our kids. They're good for that. although the Disney+ app can be annoying at times (have to frequently re-download shows and movies before every trip because they 'expire')

My experience with fire tabs, has been poor. They are great when you first start using it. Then, it gets worse very quickly. Not sure if that's android problem, or the low specs.

Are these new? I have several HD10 and the battery is dead now, will last less than a minute before it shuts down after disconnecting. Basically only use them as picture frames now.

I bought this same one brand new on Woot 2 months ago and love it. The performance and build quality (especially the audio) is much better than the cheap $100. tablets on Amazon. No complaints. I'll add the Play Store so I can have access to Google apps. Btw, the screen on these age really beautiful.
