I bought this at $35 due to a slick deal post. It worked....once. the reviews saying it won't prime and start spraying are very real. I tried running it for minutes, called Ryobi tech support and they literally told me to turn it on it's side and run it while shaking it and thumping the side of the unit. It's designed poorly and will likely leave you wishing you bought something different. I left a review about it on the Ryobi website and they asked why I rated it one star. I explained everything and they said it's impossible I bought it from Amazon because they aren't "an authorized seller". I don't know what to tell you customer service lady, the receipt is there and scanned in to activate the warranty. I sent it back to Amazon due to me not having faith that a replacement unit would be any better. Just my opinion, YMMV

Still have like 10 of those Electrostatic sprayer from Directtoolsoutlet. Maybe I should add another one of these to my Ryobi collection on display in my garage.

FYI, only Home Depot and Direct Tools Outlet are authorized Ryobi dealers.

Would this be better for pesticides than the electrostatic one? Not too sure on the difference.

ours works fairly well (1 gallon). does a great job at nebulizing black flag mosquito deterrent. the only issue is that you have to hold it straight and not tilt it around much. I think of you tilt it too far front or back, it acts as a water gun instead :/

The other one is a broad fogger for insecticides. This one is a fine mist with electrostatic for better coverage for sanitizing or applying fungicide.

I've had them both and wouldn't recommend either. They clog and just spit out liquid after some time. If you must, get the other one, this was only huge during the pandemic.

If you rip the filter out of the nozzle, you can make battery powered squirt gun… fun for summer

You need the Ryobi electrostatic sprayer if you want it to be atomized. This is more of a general sprayer for like weed killer and insecticide, not really a disinfecting mister.

Electrostatic is better for droplets to stick to leaves and helps get product to the undersides of foliage.
