This is a good deal, especially if you want/need the circular saw. I use mine for everything that doesn't require a precise angle or a larger blade (I have a 12" chop saw for that).

Brushless is the way to go, and these TTI-made Hart units easily compete with equivalent Ryobi (since that's probably what they are). Blah blah blah Ryobi will be around forever Hart could go away at any time blah blah blah. I've had mine for something like 6 years now and they've built two decks, a treehouse, and countless home improvement projects. The naysayers might eventually be right, but by the time they are, I will have gotten my money out of them 10x over.

From my understanding, the batteries do not have sufficient voltage out of the box (probably because they were sitting in a warehouse for extended periods of time discharged), and the charger supplied does not have enough "power" to charge it.

You basically connect a wire from the + and - terminal from the dead battery to a working battery respectively (I had another Hart battery that was good but I'm assuming a Ryobi, DeWalt, etc battery should work fine too as long as they are the same voltage). Let it sit for a good 30 seconds to a minute. Then try to charge again using the supplied charger.

There's YouTube videos explaining the process. GL.

I agree for brushless this price is pretty good, about $45 per tool.

Ryobi brushless is a lot better quality components than brushed Ryobi so I'm going to assume that the same is true for Hart.

First time homeowner and I bought a similar Hart kit. So far I've installed a OTR microwave, and wall mounted 2 TVs along with several other odd jobs. Tools work well and I recommend them.👍

For a first timer (or very part timer) this is a great value. I have all Hart line for camping due to limited use and need. Fans, radios, portable shower, blowers, shop vac, etc etc. Paid pennies on the dollar even compared to Ryobi and use it 3-4 times a year. Even less for the drills and stuff. I'd replace anything that breaks without hesitation. Problem is they never break 🤷 ♂️

Is this the regular price or sale price? The item detail page does not show it as a sale price.

I purchased a few items when Wal-Mart had them on clearance. The batteries that ate white work fine (2ah and 1.5ah). The kits with the black batteries are dead on arrival (stuck at the testing lights, blinking red lights). Still working with Hart to get the batteries replaced.

Bought this kit last time. Love it. No issues.

My kit came like this. I jumped the batteries (takes seconds) and are working fine. I have charged them a few times without issues.

Can you explain the process? What's causing it to not charging?

Be very careful doing this to Li-Ion batteries. They often have protection circuits to prevent charging if the battery was discharged past a certain point, because Li-Ion batteries can become unstable if charged after having over-discharged, though some chemistries are more tolerant of abuse than others, I don't know what exactly is in this one. A voltage tester/multimeter can be used to check voltage to see how low it went. If the battery is new or under warranty, it'd be best to get it replaced. Even if the over-discharged battery is able to be charged again by tricking the safety system, the over-discharge has shortened its life over the long term. Either way, be sure to do the jump outside and with protection to keep you from getting burned if it does flame out.
