Tempting but I doubt I can activate this on Verizon postpaid. Bummer cause this is the phone I wanted to get my Dad but went with a full-priced unlocked Moto G non-Power (for $180). Still a decent phone but the Power is a big step up.

So to be clear, all I have to do is pay for the first month, and then be able to unlock it and it'll work with T-Mobile?

- Buy phone and activate with 1mo service
- Don't pay for 2nd mo and let the phone sit (or use as wifi device if you want)
- Wait 60-61 days from activation date for the phone to unlock then use it on any carrier you want

Specs wise, doesn't seem too much of an upgrade to my 2022 Moto Stylus 5g except for :
-wireless charging
-esim
-8gb vs 6gb

Does esim neccessarily mean simultaneously dual sim use?
It's a shame. I really like the 2022 Stylus 5g and was hoping this was like 20% better. Still might get one as a backup.

Do I need to call Straight Talk support to get it unlocked or it's automatic?

This should give you a bump in overall performance over the Stylus.

Serious question, why buy more if you don't use them?

I should probably do this, my Moto G6 is pretty laggy these days. Just not sure I want to wait two months to move this phone over to my Tello plan.

Thanks for the instruction.

Quick question on unlock. According to the policy: "For cellphones activated with new service on the Verizon network on or after November 23, 2021, at least sixty (60) days must have elapsed since the cellphone was activated. For any active cellphones, notification of the phone's unlock eligibility will be sent via SMS along with a link to the website where the unlock process can be accessed."

When will one receive such a SMS? In the first month or at the end of 60 days? If it is at the end of 60 days, don't you need to have an active service to receive SMS? Thanks.

You can either call in or go to https://www.tfwunlockpolicy.com/
Put in your imei and number and you will get the unlock codes. Samsung and Apple phones are automatically unlocked but I have not heard of the motos being the same

When you get the phone after activation, text unlock to 611611. It should send a text when your phone is eligible to be unlocked.
