Here is the response of Motorola to unlock of Tracfone Moto G Power 5G 2024 (XT2415V) in the Lenovo Forum. Basically, it states that Tracfone is only one that can solve the problem.

"Thank you for reaching out. I have received your IMEI via PM and I was able to check into this further. Tracfone, and many other carriers are now using Remote Unlock on some devices, this allows the carrier to unlock your device without the need for an unlock code. Your device uses this remote unlock method.

Since Tracfone stated the phone would be unlocked after 24 hours I would wait until that time has elapsed then try inserting a SIM (not a Tracfone SIM) in the device to see if it works. If it doesn't you may need to reach back out to Tracfone to see if something needs to be updated in their system to allow the unlock.

Unfortunately, Tracfone is the only one that can help with this concern. Please let me know if you have any further questions.

Becky"

Better to just order it online at Straight Talk website then. You can get 2 of them for $75 and also get around $7 back from cash back shopping site.

Could you share tips for ordering those iP11s?
Not anything special, just bought when I had TF rewards or there were sales & waited till phone unlocked and sold to an online buyer. Most were a decent profit but now buyer price is down to $142 for 11 flawless condition so not much profit unless they offer a bonus. Used to be better deals.

If you have a new SIM, no plan necessary, it's as simple as clicking the activate link on the website.

I have had mixed results reusing the same SIM depending on CSR's, and wasted several hours so I don't even bother anymore and just get a new sim... or use an old sim that is no longer active
So you are saying the sim cards which came with the phone will work and no plan is needed at all not even the base plan to work ..how will they active a new number on it with out payment . Right now i have 2 old tracfone simcards from iphone deals. The plan have expired on those.

Plan is required to activate phone.
Old sims from previous phones are usually still linked to IMEI of phone they were activated with.

If you activated those 2 phones already all you have to do it wait until 60 days since the time of activation has passed and then it will auto unlock, or if not you can request the unlock codes via https://www.tfwunlockpolicy.com/

If you have not activated the phones yet, and still have old SIMs that are no longer active you should be able activate a different phone on a currently active plan.

Note that this will not give you a new number, and that this requires a current active line

Piper by any chance? Have a little time in a SC, miss it
I owned and flew a 1980 Cessna 152 (hence my avatar) from '95 to 2017. Flew it all over the US. The map below shows the states that I had flown it to. The last picture, taken from a friend's plane, showing my plane flying down the Hudson River toward the Statue of Liberty.

Did anyone have any issues ordering through Paypal? I have my debit card and CC linked to my Paypal. I made an order with my debit card which came to $98 but now I'm seeing a preauthorization charge on my CC for $75. I didn't order anything with my CC. How is that possible?

Why would you use a debit card to make a purchase through anything? Who still has debit cards? Those do not protect your from liability at all.

I know that. I toggled to use my CC instead of my debit but somehow looking at my order in my email, the debit card showed up instead. I'm thinking maybe my cart was glitching when I placed an order.

SN: I use my CC for everything, I have my debit as back up. I don't own many CC.

Ordered on the 12th and received shipping email today although no delivery date set yet in UPS.

No rhyme nor reason to their madness.
Just received shipping tracking email with no delivery date set.

How many days do you have to activate the plan?

I want to get 2 months out of the 2 phones that were ordered.

Nevermind answer is on the previous page

From straight talk customer service chat - "To unlock the phone you should use the phone with paid and active service for 60 days". Are they incorrect?

Yes, that one person is wrong. It is right in their unlock policy.

This phone isn't activating on TF, first one I've tried that wouldn't - might be because it's so new or TF has changed policy, no way to know. First off there are way too many crap apps on this model I had to uninstall over 12 and I also attempted to turn off (can't uninstall) Device Pulse (I consider it spyware but that's just my opinion) - on one page during setup it shows "Visable Services" and "Visable by Verizon" so Verizon is likely buying tons of these and just using appropriate Sim for each branded phone. Model number is XT2415V so likely will be considered a Verizon model instead of ST/TF/TbyV (which might make it more accepted by other network providers after unlocking).

It definitely has 8gb ram for the people questioning it.

And first thing after setup I recommend going to Settings/sound/power on sound and turn off that horrible "hello Moto" notification - I'd forgotten how obnoxious it is.
Volume seems loud, I've turned it down twice. Wireless charging seems to work well.

Finally got everything updated & installed so will now play around a bit, so far feels like my 2023 Stylus with a little better screen and maybe a little faster but its really too soon to tell for sure.
So did you just activate it on Straight Talk or waiting to try again later?
Is Mobile Services still the stealth TF crapware downloader with each system update?

I'm on that site but don't see that deal anywhere. Do you have a link?
