Here is the response of Motorola to unlock of Tracfone Moto G Power 5G 2024 (XT2415V) in the Lenovo Forum. Basically, it states that Tracfone is only one that can solve the problem.

"Thank you for reaching out. I have received your IMEI via PM and I was able to check into this further. Tracfone, and many other carriers are now using Remote Unlock on some devices, this allows the carrier to unlock your device without the need for an unlock code. Your device uses this remote unlock method.

Since Tracfone stated the phone would be unlocked after 24 hours I would wait until that time has elapsed then try inserting a SIM (not a Tracfone SIM) in the device to see if it works. If it doesn't you may need to reach back out to Tracfone to see if something needs to be updated in their system to allow the unlock.

Unfortunately, Tracfone is the only one that can help with this concern. Please let me know if you have any further questions.

Becky"

Better to just order it online at Straight Talk website then. You can get 2 of them for $75 and also get around $7 back from cash back shopping site.

That's quite decent. Close to the Moto G Stylus 5G 2023.
Looks to be similar to Stylus 5g 2022 model which is Snapdragon 695 like Nord N30

Good to know, was trying to give my Metro Stylus 23 to a family member, but it doesn't work with ATT MVNO FreeUp.
If the Metro Stylus is unlocked it should work with Freeup. For some reason I now have to manually change the APN to get my unlocked phones to work on Freeup these days.

I just checked the IMEI of my Metro Moto Stylus 5G 2023 and it didn't pass FreeUp IMEI Checker.

If the phone is unlocked from a carrier, it cannot pass the IMEI Checker of another carrier.

My phone is a T-Mobile unlocked phone, but it does not pass Verizon IMEI Checker, but if you insert the chip after activation, you can use it without any problem.

I am currently using US Mobile's warp 5g (verizon) without any problems.

I got a pretty good deal from Fi with their pre-release S24 deal back in February. $350 for the base S24, with a free upgrade to the 256GB version. They required 4 months of Fi service but I had enough Fi referral credits to cover that.

Not true. The phone has to be unlocked to use with another carrier, but Unlocked or Locked does NOT change the result of the IMEI Check. After all, how does the IMEI Checker know the unlock status of Android phone which is stored on the phone? The unlock status of iPhones can be queried because Apple has a database of unlocked iPhone IMEIs. No so with Android phones.

I had a FreeUp AT&T line for a while, I think this is what I used https://bestmvno.com/apn-settings...-settings/ . It might also be available on FreeUp web site.

Not true.

The Verizon IMEI checker is notoriously inaccurate in some cases. If you check an unlocked iPhone SE 3 that has previously been locked to a TF brand and which has never been activated yet - that tool will show that the phone is not eligible for Verizon. But if you bring such a phone to a Verizon store or ask a Verizon chat agent to activate it, they will do it with no issues because they use a different tool for eligibility check, which shows the phone as eligible. Also, if you activate such a phone with any other carrier and then check it with the Verizon IMEI checker, it will be showing it as eligible from that point on.

So much misinformation about IMEIs & what will work & what won't in the last 2 pages.
