Here is the response of Motorola to unlock of Tracfone Moto G Power 5G 2024 (XT2415V) in the Lenovo Forum. Basically, it states that Tracfone is only one that can solve the problem.

"Thank you for reaching out. I have received your IMEI via PM and I was able to check into this further. Tracfone, and many other carriers are now using Remote Unlock on some devices, this allows the carrier to unlock your device without the need for an unlock code. Your device uses this remote unlock method.

Since Tracfone stated the phone would be unlocked after 24 hours I would wait until that time has elapsed then try inserting a SIM (not a Tracfone SIM) in the device to see if it works. If it doesn't you may need to reach back out to Tracfone to see if something needs to be updated in their system to allow the unlock.

Unfortunately, Tracfone is the only one that can help with this concern. Please let me know if you have any further questions.

Becky"

Better to just order it online at Straight Talk website then. You can get 2 of them for $75 and also get around $7 back from cash back shopping site.

got my two and setting up the first. The complaints are unfounded..fcking aye. The screen is more than bright enough. Jsus fcking christ, it's bright at max. I have it at 40%. You people need to get your eyes check. The phone is lightweight, feels great in the hands and while the back may collect dirt/dust the texture means you have a good grip. Display can be set to 120Hz if you like it, moving around is above average (minimal lag).

Has fast charging but not as fast as Samsung's super fast charging. Model is XT2415V. For $40 bucks each, i'm going to grab a few more. It's a nice phone people, especially at $40 and when it unlocks.

Edit: The network speed is pathetic for me though...i mean almost non-existent. It shows 4G and 5G but can't even bring up the speed test webpage in my bedroom. Outside, it's 5Mbps and I think throttled. Sigh. I won't be staying with ST so I'm not too worried.
I'm sure it's an ok phone lol. Moto dues just fine usually.
OLED isn't worth the eye strain. Idk why so few people realize how much it can strain the eyes. It's not a negative point that it's LCD on this phone. Making that a negative in reviews is kind of lame. Put this in someone's hand and I guarantee most people wouldn't care or notice. They'd look at a picture or short video on it and probably never care or know it was LCD and go on with their day.

Only time I'm not too thrilled about is mediatek chip isn't great. I'm grateful there's a model with LCD.
Guess the other nitpick one could say is it won't get more than 1 os update but it's a decent compromise to have 3yrs of security updates. Other than that I look forward to having it ready to use someday. Probably still keep the 2022 stylus 5g going for a bit longer.

Unless changed 2024 models the tracfone bootloader can't be unlocked.

Most of Apps can be uninstalled but the mysite and pulse device which requires ADB
it's a pity I really want to root the phone

If it's activated there's nothing special to do, just set it up.

Dunno, it went to 0% on battery and when I charged it back up it would only say memory corrupted and asked me to reset

If the Metro Stylus is unlocked it should work with Freeup. For some reason I now have to manually change the APN to get my unlocked phones to work on Freeup these days.
The IMEI Swap devices on the FreeUp page says IMEI isn't compatible with my Metro Stylus 23' that was unlocked in March. OP I replied to said they ATT update their allow devices every 6 months and the last list updated was in Feb. So I'll check back in July and hopefully, my devices will be added to their allowed list.

ATT is gatekeeping which I had no clue that they did since it works fine on my Tmobile sim card.

Pretty much everybody. It's been discussed repeatedly. Plan on receiving it 4-7 days after ordering.

What cell modem does MediaTek use?

Own MediaTek modem or Qualcomm modem?

How good is the performance of the MediaTek modem? How does it compare to Qualcomm?
