Here is the response of Motorola to unlock of Tracfone Moto G Power 5G 2024 (XT2415V) in the Lenovo Forum. Basically, it states that Tracfone is only one that can solve the problem.

"Thank you for reaching out. I have received your IMEI via PM and I was able to check into this further. Tracfone, and many other carriers are now using Remote Unlock on some devices, this allows the carrier to unlock your device without the need for an unlock code. Your device uses this remote unlock method.

Since Tracfone stated the phone would be unlocked after 24 hours I would wait until that time has elapsed then try inserting a SIM (not a Tracfone SIM) in the device to see if it works. If it doesn't you may need to reach back out to Tracfone to see if something needs to be updated in their system to allow the unlock.

Unfortunately, Tracfone is the only one that can help with this concern. Please let me know if you have any further questions.

Becky"

Better to just order it online at Straight Talk website then. You can get 2 of them for $75 and also get around $7 back from cash back shopping site.

I've bought several cheap phones that all came with the block... I'm not sure why you are taking up for the corporations that keep giving less and less. It's not a big deal because I have a bunch of blocks.. Just because other phones have done it doesn't make it ok... It's still not ok they colluded to get rid of removable batteries, headphone jacks, sd slots, etc...
I'm not "taking up for" or saying that what they're doing is OK. I'm just stating the fact that MOST phones sold since 2022 no longer come with a charging block. I did not say anything to defend them. If you aren't happy with what they're doing, make complaints to them. Don't rail at me. Don't shoot the messenger. Look at how many thumb downs your previous post got. That should tell you what people thought of your complaint.

I was just pointing out a fact... you responded to me coming off like you are implying you think it's okay just because you say many other phone companies do it.. I couldn't care less about thumbs down. Most people are idiots..

You've got it backwards, but you got the last part right.

Just added instructions for purchasing the phone at Walmart to the wiki. I have dealt with the Straight Talk website during the iPhone deal last November and I will never use it again. If the order goes through and ships, everything is fine. If it doesn't ship, their customer service is terrible as each rep will tell you a different answer and they will hold your money for multiple weeks before refunding it.

Personally, I rather deal with the Walmart process and pay the extra taxes. At least I know I have the phone in hand and not wonder if I'm ever getting the phone.

Got the phone over the weekend and paid close to $60 after taxes. Compared to a Samsung Galaxy A32 5G, this phone has a better camera and a better screen. Didn't really try any other features.

When was the last time you bought a new phone before this one? Most phones sold since 2022 no longer come with a charging block, even top-of-the-line models from Apple, Samsung, Moto, Pixel, etc.
The stock version of the Moto G Power 5G 2024 does actually come with a 30 watt charger based on reviews. Like this one. https://www.phonearena.com/review...iew_id6199

PC Mag review also says it comes with a charger. https://www.pcmag.com/reviews/mot...er-5g-2024

Verizon/Tracfone just wanted save a few bucks and excluded it from their version. Maybe the poster was disappointed because the reviews of the stock version says it comes with the 30w charger.

Here is a Youtuber reviewing the unlocked version of the phone. No charger was included in that package either. I have the Stylus 5g 2023, and that included a brick. So maybe it was starting in 2024 that Motorola decided to save money and not include one.

I have two questions first being does this support two Sims or Esim and regular Sim? When I ordered the phones I got two in the subtotal showed $75 with the discount on the second line but then when I checked out it charged me $90 plus tax close to $99 when I called Straight Talk they wouldn't credit me the difference for the overcharge and I really don't want to return the phones is a chargeback the best option it's so stupid they can't adjust the price correctly

I access SD using my Windows laptop. Near the top of each thread page, there's a magnifier symbol. Click on it to search a thread using a keyword. Easy peasy.
I am on a Windows PC. The "Search this Thread" is a radio box. It also has the magnifying glass icon next to it. The difference is you are using the "Redesign" view. I call it the "New Coke" view.Wink
You can try or switch views as there are pros and cons to each. Those options are at the bottom of the main (and most any) screen page.

1. It supports both regular and e-sim

2. The discount was for the phones only. You're paying for the service plans ($45x2 = $90) and taxes.

Sounds like they are scamming.
You were supposed to get discount for family line.

Both my 2022 and 2023 Stylus 5G from Metro did not include a brick, only the cable. Neither did my TF Samsung A23. Personally, I don't miss it. Already have a bag full of unused bricks and cables.

I picked up a Moto G 5G 2023 from Metro at WM last month ($40. which included the plan) for a senior and no charger plug inside. Previous phones like the Samsung A54, A15, and Pixel 6A also did not have the charger plug. Same with iPhone SE3.

Apple started the trend of not including the charger, in the name of "reducing electronic waste" but more likely to cut cost and make money selling their proprietary charger. Other phone manufacturers soon followed suite.

Since 2022, I've bought these phones: Samsung A03s, A54, S22, S23, S24, Pixel 6a, Pixel 7, Moto Razr, Moto G Stylus 5G 2023, OnePlus Nord N30. The Samsung S22, S23, S24, Pixel 6a, Pixel 7 are factory-unlocked versions. The A03s is from Tracfone. The rest are from Metro. Out of those 10 phones, only the Nord N30 came with the charger. So I'd say MOST phones made since 2022 don't come with a charging block. That's the way it is. If someone isn't happy with the way it is, complain to the manufacturers. Don't bitch at me. I don't make the phones.
