But how long will the phone be locked to Cricket, and how many days of paid service are needed to get unlocked?
6 months of paid service for the cricket phone to be unlocked.

Yeah you're right! Funny thing is that these phones from Cricket came out $8 cheaper too LOL
but you would need to stay with Cricket for many months before they would unlock the phone.
Who would be in the right mind to pay $60 monthly?

I'm already with Cricket and I don't plan on leaving them anytime soon (Unless they do something I dont like). I was going to use the ST phones on them. My mistake was that I didn't check how much they'll be on Cricket before ST. Come to find out, it was almost the same price.

My thought process:
Cricket: $60 (phone plan) x 2 (free phones) - $120
ST - $45 (phone plan) x 2( free phones) - $90 ($98)

Cricket actually came out to be $8 cheaper due to the multi-line discount..

The crazy things we do save some pennies ehhh

Thought there was $15 discount on line 2 so ST cost would be 45+45-15=$75.

How would I know if the phone will activate on Verizon or ATT/T-mobile? Since only phones activated on Verizon can be unlocked after 60 days:

You're correct. I did get $75 but then it changed to $82 (included tax) and at final check out when I put it in my details, it came out to $98. Now I gotta investigate where I/they went wrong.

Appreciate you taking the time to put together the wiki.

If people would learn to help themselves by actually reading it the thread would be a lot shorter.

hodaddy, I sold one of the Moto G Sylus 2023 to a lady that intended to use it on AT&T. I thought that would be no problem and so did she. But she tried it on her own and ran into the IMEI checker which of course rejected it as incompatible. Then she took it to an AT&T store where they tried to get it to work even with a sim from a working AT&T phone and it would not work.

I have tried several different AT&T MVNO IMEI checkers and every single one rejected every single Moto IMEI that I tried (Moto G Stylus 2021, 2X Stylus 2023, and one Power 2024).

The approved model numbers are in the wiki. AND was the phone unlocked ?

I got Tracfone Stylus 5G 2021 and Metro Stylus 5G 2023 both IMEI passed the ATT checks.
