Here is the response of Motorola to unlock of Tracfone Moto G Power 5G 2024 (XT2415V) in the Lenovo Forum. Basically, it states that Tracfone is only one that can solve the problem.

"Thank you for reaching out. I have received your IMEI via PM and I was able to check into this further. Tracfone, and many other carriers are now using Remote Unlock on some devices, this allows the carrier to unlock your device without the need for an unlock code. Your device uses this remote unlock method.

Since Tracfone stated the phone would be unlocked after 24 hours I would wait until that time has elapsed then try inserting a SIM (not a Tracfone SIM) in the device to see if it works. If it doesn't you may need to reach back out to Tracfone to see if something needs to be updated in their system to allow the unlock.

Unfortunately, Tracfone is the only one that can help with this concern. Please let me know if you have any further questions.

Becky"

Better to just order it online at Straight Talk website then. You can get 2 of them for $75 and also get around $7 back from cash back shopping site.

Obviously the buyer didn't bother reading wiki - like so many others.

Edit: somehow this replied to the reply instead of original, oops.

No. You have to activate it online. There are instructions in the box. Once logged into your account you can activate it there.
You can put in airplane mode after and then turn on Wi-Fi if you don't want to use cell service, but you should make at least one test call.

Fwiw ordered a 2nd one today. No backorder shown but I expect it'll take a while.

Decent phone. Probably use it soon after it's unlocked.

does anyone know, when the phone is delivered by UPS, will someone need to be home or do they automatically drop it there? i hate it when stuff is delivered by UPS, always some kind of shenanigans.
Mine are always just thrown over my 6 foot fence onto my concrete driveway.

These phones keep getting bigger and heavier. Going to need a phone wheelbarrow if this trend continues. Saw some phones advertised that weigh over 2 lbs.
