Why did I get charged $47.26 to TracFone Wireless Inc? Are they going to reimburse once I activate phone?
That's the price of the plan with tax, phone is free. Tracfone/Straight Talk/Total by Verizon are all part of the same company. Lots of information in the wiki.

I did a test and activated one phone online before UPS got it on the 22nd. I received it today and text UNLOCK to 611611 and the date is 8-22-2024. I believe this confirms you can activate the 60 days countdown as soon as the phones appear on your account.

There was never any doubt or question.
Unlock time has been confirmed by hundreds of TF/ST/TbV users on SD going back 2+ years when policy was changed.

True. People keep asking so testing if it still works doesn't hurt anyone but me.

How do you activate the phone before it arrives? Is the IMEI number listed in your Straight Talk account? Thanks!

Login to your account once you get shipment notification. Go to manage lines. You should see 'select line'. Under that there should be IMIEs listed where you can select and activate after entering your preferred zip.

So if I understand correctly, I can buy a 2nd for only $30 after activating the 1st regardless of whether it's arrived from what recent posts indicate, and spending only $42.5 with autopay enabled on it, for a total of $72.50 before tax and fees, whereas if I buy both in one order, the total would be $75? If there's no rush, I may as well save that $2.50

The bloatware is insane on this. Immediately disable "Mobile Services" on it.

I'll feel bad for whoever I give this to if they ever do reset

When I click on "select line" there was no IMIEs so had to click on Activate in far right corner and there both phones were shown with Activate underneath.

Once did that saw IMIEs and instructions to set up phone... obviously could not as yet to get phones.

Note that once activate the monthly plan starts even though yet to receive phones so just a heads up in case someone wants to use plan.

Activated one phone so can unlock earlier and left one phone unactivated so can use full plan.

Anyone get phone covers and screen protectors?
