Here is the response of Motorola to unlock of Tracfone Moto G Power 5G 2024 (XT2415V) in the Lenovo Forum. Basically, it states that Tracfone is only one that can solve the problem.

"Thank you for reaching out. I have received your IMEI via PM and I was able to check into this further. Tracfone, and many other carriers are now using Remote Unlock on some devices, this allows the carrier to unlock your device without the need for an unlock code. Your device uses this remote unlock method.

Since Tracfone stated the phone would be unlocked after 24 hours I would wait until that time has elapsed then try inserting a SIM (not a Tracfone SIM) in the device to see if it works. If it doesn't you may need to reach back out to Tracfone to see if something needs to be updated in their system to allow the unlock.

Unfortunately, Tracfone is the only one that can help with this concern. Please let me know if you have any further questions.

Becky"

Better to just order it online at Straight Talk website then. You can get 2 of them for $75 and also get around $7 back from cash back shopping site.

I got a 3rd today. When I tried for 2 it wouldn't let me create a new acct. But when I went for 1 it let me use Guest checkout.

Guest checkout doesn't give cheap plan?

Right, the only way to get the discounted plan is by adding an additional line to current account.

Did you use the same name/credit card/shipping address as previous 2.

Will the phone still unlock if you move the sim card to another phone after activation? Does the phone need the simcard for it to be eligible for unlock in 60 days?

The SIM does not need to be in the phone on Day 61 for it to be unlocked. However, a phone sold by TracFone and their sub-brands (ST/Total-by-Verizon/Net10/etc) has its SIM number paired with the original phone's IMEI in their system. Swapping the SIM into another phone can cause problems (line gets deactivated) and is not a good idea.

If for some reason it doesn't automatically unlock (& it should) you just go to the unlock website, enter the requested info & they send the unlock codes & instructions.
You don't have to chat or contact support at all.

Some of new androids have automatic unlock not just remote unlock. This is most likely one of them.

two Moto G Play 2023 automatically unlocked

Since no one answered I successfully swapped back to an iphone using the same sim that came with the iphone ( last year from straight talk) rep added it and my plan is still valid as it was on Android. Sorry but iphone cloning is just way better on multiple devices

Could someone post a good ADB FAQ on this phone as far as what packages are recommended to disable for bloatware and performance also can this phone be rooted if anyone can post that info and which root method if there is one is best or the top few? Many thanks.
