Here is the response of Motorola to unlock of Tracfone Moto G Power 5G 2024 (XT2415V) in the Lenovo Forum. Basically, it states that Tracfone is only one that can solve the problem.

"Thank you for reaching out. I have received your IMEI via PM and I was able to check into this further. Tracfone, and many other carriers are now using Remote Unlock on some devices, this allows the carrier to unlock your device without the need for an unlock code. Your device uses this remote unlock method.

Since Tracfone stated the phone would be unlocked after 24 hours I would wait until that time has elapsed then try inserting a SIM (not a Tracfone SIM) in the device to see if it works. If it doesn't you may need to reach back out to Tracfone to see if something needs to be updated in their system to allow the unlock.

Unfortunately, Tracfone is the only one that can help with this concern. Please let me know if you have any further questions.

Becky"

Better to just order it online at Straight Talk website then. You can get 2 of them for $75 and also get around $7 back from cash back shopping site.

Has anyone placed an order lately? Been over 1 1/2 days and this is my order status. Should I be worried?

You can check trade in values on ST website but for Flip 2 it is zero.

After asking my question, I did a test order on ST web site for a Moto G Power 5G 2024 + $45 Plan. It offered me $11 in Prepaid Card for trading in a TCL Flip 2.

Yes, you can wait, but don't accidentally activate your phone on the straight talk website.
Got the phone, haven't activated yet cuz don't have a use for it until next month.

I got 2 questions:
1. After activating, could I move the SIM to a different (unlocked) device for a family member to use?
2. Will doing that mess up with the 2 month unlock period for this Moto G?

The SIM does not need to be in the phone on Day 61 for it to be unlocked. However, a phone sold by TracFone and their sub-brands (ST/Total-by-Verizon/Net10/etc) has its SIM number paired with the original phone's IMEI in their system. Swapping the SIM into another phone can cause problems (line gets deactivated) and is not a good idea.
I don't mind the hassle of having to deal with ST customer care to provision the SIM to my own phone (by providing my IMEI) and also don't mind dealing with them again after 61 days for unlock.

However I'd like to know if anyone attempted the above and is possible at all. Thank you!

Pretty much up to you if you want to take the chance, the rest of us are content to wait the 60 days & have guaranteed unlock.

I ordered 2. I plan on switching from T-Mobile to US Mobile after these phones unlock. I'll be porting over 2 numbers from TM to USM. My thought was, after the phones unlock, I'll order the service with USM and port those numbers with T-Mobile during that order. Will this work with these phones?

Ordered 2 phones, delivered and activated.
I sent 'unlock" to 611611 and got the 60 days confirmed.

So let it get dust for 60days and it automatically unlocked?

It has the cc that purchased with - it can no be removed without another payment in - it asks me to auto enroll. No need to do anything as I do not need their service at all.

Is there anything I need to do?
