Here is the response of Motorola to unlock of Tracfone Moto G Power 5G 2024 (XT2415V) in the Lenovo Forum. Basically, it states that Tracfone is only one that can solve the problem.

"Thank you for reaching out. I have received your IMEI via PM and I was able to check into this further. Tracfone, and many other carriers are now using Remote Unlock on some devices, this allows the carrier to unlock your device without the need for an unlock code. Your device uses this remote unlock method.

Since Tracfone stated the phone would be unlocked after 24 hours I would wait until that time has elapsed then try inserting a SIM (not a Tracfone SIM) in the device to see if it works. If it doesn't you may need to reach back out to Tracfone to see if something needs to be updated in their system to allow the unlock.

Unfortunately, Tracfone is the only one that can help with this concern. Please let me know if you have any further questions.

Becky"

Better to just order it online at Straight Talk website then. You can get 2 of them for $75 and also get around $7 back from cash back shopping site.

I'm a first time straight talk / tracfone customer and just ordered two of these phones yesterday. Today, I got the "shipped" email along with two "Security Alert: Account Updates" emails that mentioned:

Quote :
Dear Customer,

We noticed you are trying to add a new device and or phone number to your account. If this was you, no problem! if this wasn't you, login to your account and verify your information for any changes.

This is an automated message. Please do not reply to this email.

If you need additional help, call us at 1-877-430-CELL (2355)

Thanks,

Customer Service Team
At first, I thought my account got hacked when seeing the security alert emails, but then I figure they were sent because of the two phones I ordered. I would think everyone else here has gotten the same emails, but I thought they were unnecessarily alarming and they could have re-worded these emails better.

But then I log into my account for the first time and I notice that in my account info, the contact phone number they have for me is one that I've never seen. It starts with a 152 area code, which doesn't even exist in the US. When I ordered the phones, I provided a different phone number with the shipping information that had been requested. If I try to edit my account info, I get an error popup saying "Please contact our Customer care center at 1-877-430-2355 to get further instruction on what do next". Has anyone else seen a similar issue with the contact phone number they have on file for your account?

I ordered one phone last night and got the same email. Its probably something that is automatically generated when they start processing your order. I got the 152 area code thing too.

I got the "shipped" email today. I logged into my account and clicked "activate" and it asked if I wanted a new number or to bring my own number. I chose "new number". Then it told me to turn my phone off and back on (whoops, I don't have the phone yet, so hopefully that won't be a problem. I just wanted the 60 day clock to start ticking).

Anyway, I clicked around in my account and then back to "Activate" and I noticed it had assigned me a local number with a legit area code. And it said I have 29 days until my next payment. So the clock is ticking.

That is normal for new account.
You probably also won't be able to activate the new phones online with the same error message.
You need to chat or call to fix the issue or just activate by phone.

I'm kind of relieved to know that I'm not the only one who has a 152 area code phone number for the contact # in my account info. After you activated though, does it still show the 152 area code # in your account info?

Do you mean the 152 area code phone number as the contact number in account info is normal for a new account? Some above though (cuttlefish) who had the 152 area code issue was able to activate their line/phone though.

Normal to have some random contact information and card in your new account, different from those you provided while placing order and creating a new account.

Interesting that you were able to order two phones yesterday. My friend tried on Thursday morning and someone also posted yesterday that they received a pop up message that their credit card was declined, try another payment option.

I just went back and checked. Yes, I still have the 152 number for my "Contact phone number:"
But my "Active Line" number is the new local phone number they gave me this morning.

So I guess these are all separate numbers to them. I don't think its anything to worry about.

I created an account with Total-by-Verizon (another sub-brand of Tracfone, like Straight Talk) when buying their iPhone11's. I didn't fill out all the details, so they put a (151) phone number as Contact Number. There's no US Area Code 151 either. I think it's an internal code that TF and their sub-brands use.

No doubt some of those "YES" APKs should be removed.

However, why not try uninstalling them first. TEMU, GAMES: Royal Match game, Block Blast! game, Pandora, Chime, Bubble Shooter Relaxing, Solitaire, can be uninstall.

They are not installed on System partition. No point of pm disable-user something you can just uninstall.....

Big Grin
If you delete or disable mobile services. None of those games will ever reload again to your phone. Every time you update your phone, it redownloads more games and useless apps. Disabling mobile services solves that issue permanently.

Today QVC has Tracfone 6.5" Moto G Power 5G Smartphone with 1500mb Talk/Text/Data for 87.98 minus 30 ($30 off 60 coupon for first time users). Is this the same as what was in Straighttalk? Anyone can confirm. Thanks
