Just curious, have you tried the www.tfwunlockpolicy.com page and see if they will give you the different instruction compares to older model?
Yep - Read bottom of post, no go.
Knowing TF they could just be slow & everything will update later since they said a few hours.

Still waiting, no change
The "automatic unlock" system doesn't seem to be working very well. Unlock website says phone doesn't qualify for unlock yet text message from 611611 said phone qualified as of early last night. Seems like it should have unlocked by now (I've rebooted several times, tried different sim & it's still not triggering unlock).

Yes, mine automatically unlocked this morning - 60 days after activation.
I simply turned on the phone, waited for the phone to call home, and then two minutes later, the device was unlocked. Checked 'About' under Settings and it shows 'Network unlocked'. I also dialled #TFUNLOCK# and unlocked status was confirmed.
I only paid for one month of service.

No, Was trying to avoid it.
Shouldn't be necessary if it's going to be automatically unlocked (like iPhones).

Not a big deal, I have plenty of other phones 😄 & don't need to move it to a new provider right away.
This is more of an experiment so others know what to expect - and how the system works (or is supposed to work).
Looks like it's going to be typical TF/ST - inconsistent.

I purchased it one month ago but have not activated it yet. How long do I have to activate and use it after purchasing from Straight Talk?

You should activate it now. Because if you don't, service will expire = no unlock.

Can't confirm but others have mentioned that you have up to 1yr to activate for Tracfone brands (TF/ST/Total) if you purchased it from their website

I have reached out to Tracfone Unlock a few times today. They don't really know why its not unlocked, but its not working. Just factory wiped a 3rd time. Waiting until morning to see if it will unlock.
They did say it would automatically unlock, they do not even have the option for unlock codes.

Dial #TFUNLOCK# (#83865625#) to check status. Mine keep saying "Device is SIM LOCKED" at this point.

As usual the system is screwed up.

Exactly same with mine, status message is sim locked, text message says eligible to unlock. Also tried factory reset since I had turned off/disabled a lot of junk, made no difference.
Been 24 hrs since texting first said it was eligible but it's just not unlocking.
The system is messed up.
