Exactly same with mine, status message is sim locked, text message says eligible to unlock. Also tried factory reset since I had turned off/disabled a lot of junk, made no difference.
Been 24 hrs since texting first said it was eligible but it's just not unlocking.
The system is messed up.
both mine unlocked automatically just now 11:35pm EST 8/13 turned them on it took 60 seconds after connected to wifi it showed locked under about phone then it changed to unlocked. Only paid for 1 month service. Text said 8/15 for unlock guess it was early.

I noticed it sent a text from customer support said your service will terminate soon.

Congrats, wish I could figure out why mine won't do it. Should be simple just like iPhones.

I did update it to June Security Patch in July not sure if that matters and made calls and ran speedtests before the plan expired.

I updated too, actually used phone plan till it expired. Haven't done anything different than usual and every other phone has unlocked. It has to be something on their end since I'm not the only one. Have another due to unlock on 22nd. Will be interesting to see how many others have problems or if it's just a few.

I'm at home sitting right next to router, no issue with Wi-Fi reception. Earlier I reset network then factory reset phone with no change. Don't think it's a problem on my end since someone else reported same thing.

Have you tried inserting another carrier sim and see if that will force the unlock to download?

I recall this issue on some phones way back in the days.

Tried earlier today because I had read that too but it made no difference, still shows network locked under settings. (And I've lost count how many times I've rebooted). Looks like I'm stuck for now.

Try Install Straight talk app and log in? Open Device Pulse? Kind of force server handshake?

Even though I normally wouldn't use Device Pulse I actually tried that earlier as well as the ST app - there's nothing there that has anything to do with unlock. Phone is supposed to connect at start and then unlock, it's just not doing it. Had an iPhone unlock less than 2 weeks ago, it's very simple & requires no input or tweaks from the user. This is unusual.

My unlock date is 08.17.2024. For giggles I called tfunlock as expected - this phone is sim locked. But what's weird is I texted unlock to 611611. Paraphrasing but it said there's a problem call 611 & wouldn't give a date.

Question for the group.

Bought two phones. Sold one on eBay.

Person who bought it deactivated the phone. Now, I see today, they purchased a data plan for the plan I sold. I still have my phone on the account as well.

What is the best way to decouple the phone I sold from my account?
