Here is the response of Motorola to unlock of Tracfone Moto G Power 5G 2024 (XT2415V) in the Lenovo Forum. Basically, it states that Tracfone is only one that can solve the problem.

"Thank you for reaching out. I have received your IMEI via PM and I was able to check into this further. Tracfone, and many other carriers are now using Remote Unlock on some devices, this allows the carrier to unlock your device without the need for an unlock code. Your device uses this remote unlock method.

Since Tracfone stated the phone would be unlocked after 24 hours I would wait until that time has elapsed then try inserting a SIM (not a Tracfone SIM) in the device to see if it works. If it doesn't you may need to reach back out to Tracfone to see if something needs to be updated in their system to allow the unlock.

Unfortunately, Tracfone is the only one that can help with this concern. Please let me know if you have any further questions.

Becky"

Better to just order it online at Straight Talk website then. You can get 2 of them for $75 and also get around $7 back from cash back shopping site.

I called TF Unlock Dept again, they have escalated my ticket to corporate now and asked that I call back tomorrow from 8am to 6pm Eastern to speak with them about optional unlocking procedure.

Keep us posted but don't hold your breath - they often don't call back. It's frequently just a tactic to get you off the phone.

Hopefully you get a rep that knows what they're doing.

In past I've had to keep explaining the same thing over and over to first one rep that then transferred me to another rep, then another rep. No one did anything till I finally got fed up and filed FCC complaint. I hope this situation isn't going to be the same.
Good luck tomorrow.

did connect them to wifi?

both mine unlocked shortly after starting the phone on wifi. I noticed one of them still can send and receive texts from any number but no calls or data while other can only get texts from 611611

Thanks Jaggsta. Both phone unlocked after connecting to wifi, 2 days early from unlock date. 🤗.

Same here 2 days early unlocked. Now I have to have them removed from my ST account. Before passing them on. Without the CSR removing my ST home internet too.

Similar results here. Each paid for 1 month of service.

#1- due to unlock tomorrow the 17th.. It unlocked today. Also received a 'your service will terminate soon text' yesterday.

#2 due to unlock on the 18th. Received the same terminate soon text today. Should unlock tomorrow.

Also, I inserted a freedompop/redpocket ATT sim in the unlocked phone and calls and data works fine. No APN setup required. So we can safely say these are unlocked for all networks.

Hey Oregon, did your phone receive that text? R U still locked?

Now we need a nice organized wiki post on carrier compatibility. Carrier : Go or No go. Too bad I have some outdated sims that are no good to test correctly.
T-Mobile works perfectly. 👍
