Here is the response of Motorola to unlock of Tracfone Moto G Power 5G 2024 (XT2415V) in the Lenovo Forum. Basically, it states that Tracfone is only one that can solve the problem.

"Thank you for reaching out. I have received your IMEI via PM and I was able to check into this further. Tracfone, and many other carriers are now using Remote Unlock on some devices, this allows the carrier to unlock your device without the need for an unlock code. Your device uses this remote unlock method.

Since Tracfone stated the phone would be unlocked after 24 hours I would wait until that time has elapsed then try inserting a SIM (not a Tracfone SIM) in the device to see if it works. If it doesn't you may need to reach back out to Tracfone to see if something needs to be updated in their system to allow the unlock.

Unfortunately, Tracfone is the only one that can help with this concern. Please let me know if you have any further questions.

Becky"

Better to just order it online at Straight Talk website then. You can get 2 of them for $75 and also get around $7 back from cash back shopping site.

Yeah, that's messed up. What about your other line? It should just show deactivated one month and one day after activation.
Both of the other lines are as expected so they probably will unlock OK.
The people having problems all seem to have activated around same time & maybe were caught up in the same system glitch? Since I was just going to reactivate phone on a current TF line I might try having support rebrand to TF & see if that gets it unstuck.
2nd phone is scheduled to unlock on 22nd.

That's great news since this is a new "V" model. Pretty sure it would but still nice to get a confirmation.
Tried a working tracfone sim, no signal.

Looks like he plans to sell or give the plans to someone else. If they remain on his account, the new phone owners will be limited to buying plans, making changes, etc., by phone. They won't be able to do any of it online.

I keep getting temp security codes from the guy who bought my phone on eBay when he adds data.
What if the phones are used on TM, VZW & Visible? And not on TF or ST? Would this cause the new owner of the phone any problems?

Edit: Tracfone Sim works perfectly. Also Vodafone UK and New Zealand works perfect ( Both Tmobile partner roaming)

I am now being told by support that my phone needs 1 more day of service before it can be unlocked. They have a $10 plan available for 7 days of service.
So what did you decide to do?
You didn't give them more $ did you?

Our community has rated this post as helpful. If you agree, why not thank zapjb

Just an FYI if the phone works with a certain SIM but fails the IMEI checker it could be kicked off the network at any time. It's russian roulette.

Both of mine unlocked today as well. Initially one showed unlocked and the other didn't. Rebooted that one and it immediately showed unlocked.

Tried using one to get the free 15 day e-sim trial on Visible that doesn't requiring giving a credit card and it works fine. Speeds are just as slow as Straight Talk though, around 20 mbps down and 2 mbps up.
Automatic unlock?

I did not pay them. I really think they were just looking for a way to get me off the phone.

I called back and was transferred me to Unlocking Dept. This time they said I needed a CDMA SIM card in order to trigger the phone to unlock. So i downloaded the Verizon app and got a 30 day trial. So far still locked.

Think I may file complaint to FCC. https://www.fcc.gov/general/cell-phone-unlocking
