My phone is eligible on Aug 25, and even today I send txt to 611611 it automatically replied saying your phone is eligible to unlock.
But it's still locked. I called unlock department number, an agent and her manager both said it's not eligible.
1st says I never activated, the phone shows new phone in system (apparantly I avtivated on June 25 and got a local number for 1 month with this phone).
The manager said I only had one month service, need 2month blahblah ...
I already filed complaint to FCC. Will File FTC

The guy I talked to sounded stressed out. Wondering if disputing the charge on the credit card works as an extra blow on top of the ftc complaint

The guy you talked to is reading a script and doesn't know nor care about your dispute.

The dispute is not about him. He's just doing his job. It's to stick it to straight talk for wasting people's time

ST just called me back because of my FCC complain 2 days ago.
He still said my phone is not eligible, then same as everybody before: he will escalate, takes 72 hours...

At this point I have to believe a good portion of people whose phone haven't unlocked & posted here did not activate properly or didn't make a few calls or took out the SIM or uninstalled apps or messed with phone in other ways.

Looks like the phone is still available at the Straight Talk website. Why is the deal marked as expired? Anything changed?

At one point it was backordered & then the unlock mess happened. Guess no one reposted it as active.

Filed complaint last night, unlocked today in within the last hour. Typing in these stupid tfunlock and restart, wait 5 minutes with Wi-Fi is most likely bullshit garbage. This looked like they're doing it manually.Have one more phone to unlock next month since I bought 2. Hopefully don't have to go through this dumbass situation for that one too.
do you go on the tfunlock after the 60days or can you do it in advance?

I opened the package, setup the phone and text that 611611 number with unlock x2. I used the phone normally for a month until it expired. Did the same with phone 2 after the first one expired.
