While DIRAC is fantastic software, the included Audyssey tuning has met our expectations, nicely dialing a KEF R2c, 6 Sonance in-wall units, and an SVS 3000 micro sub.
I get a chuckle when people portray Dirac so much better.
Having a RC and using it properly is often vastly different.
Having both and implementing them both properly, imo the edge goes to Dirac mostly because of DLBC imo.
If you want possible Dirac Live like performance out of a current D/M, look into the new Audyssey One script.
You just need Audyssey Editor App($20) & REW(free).
It can be pretty impressive!
When I actually auditioned them, that was not the case for me.
If someone likes the sound signature of Marantz, $1499 for the 50 is a really good price imo, epecially when considering directional and or Dirac imo!
