Are these actual leather? It's hard to find real (not PU/ bonded/synthetic) leather shoes anymore.

Description says 50% recycled materials. They are less than $17 for a pair of shoes from Adidas. We couldn't even buy a pair of shoes from the now gone Payless shoes for less than that.
