You do realize that the majority of existing windows application will not run natively on the ARM processors; they will have to go through an emulator first which kind of defeats the advantage of the ARM CPU.

Until software companies start porting their x86/x64 applications to ARM, the advantages of windows ARM will be limited.

Everything I run should work based on Qualcomm site. Microsoft office, Davinci Resolve, Zoom, Bitdefender and Firefox lol. For college students like me unless you are in engineering or some other thing the bulk majority of people will be just fine. And hopefully Microsoft is smart enough to market these devices to that demographic. I guess I'm fairly optimistic but I had the same tone you did when apple released M1 and boy I was wrong. We will see how it works out in the upcoming week. I know that there's the whole debate on how bad arm was executed by Microsoft in the past

Pretty sure $x.97 aren't store specific but regional or national clearance, while $x.00 is manager discounts specific to a location.

BTW, and I don't understand why they didn't just roll past the deal if they automatically knew that the price of $899.97 was a "$.97 management deal*" therefore not worth their time. I've never seen a Menards or Microcenter in real life so I just stay out of those threads as 99% of their deals are B&M only. Pretend problem solved.

*Edit, also per SkylerK's above comment that is probably wrong to begin with. ".00" might be store specific but still should be worth posting.

Went to my local Costco today. None in stock. I asked the guy to look up if any stores in my region have. He said none have in the state except at distribution centers there are about 30. I asked will those go to stores. He said at that quantity they are likely will just be used for online orders.

Disappointed. I rarely see a laptop deal on here I want to pull the trigger on. This was one I did.

You folks know way more than I do, so maybe you can help an old guy out. I have an older HP that I use almost exclusively for editing photos- Lightroom mostly. I don't replace computers often so I'd like something consistent with that. And, I'm checking SD so obviously saving money is important. Thanks for your advice.

I think I may be getting this laptop. It took some magic and help but it may be granted , after a lot of frustration trying to get it living in a state where there are none . Perhaps it was all for naught though and I should have stretched out the life of my 2018 i7 Dell with 16gb ram that needs to be on a cooling pad at all times

There also some Reddit discussion but its kind of useless unless you live in a rare state that still has. Dont think any on the east coast do. Dont trust inventory under 7 , call a store and ask to verify physical inventory

I opened one up and noticed a the slot for the wwlan. Unforuntately I stripped one of the cover screw. Issue with installing a card is you need antenna and you have no place to put the sim card
