There are some hacks to unlock the frame rate, but the port causes eventual slow down and micro stuttering until it reaches back to its preferred 60hz mark.
Since that's the case, might as well save the four dollars and play it on Yuzu.
It's a lot of fun, definitely worth a play-through.

And please note I do understand the technical side of the complaint and not trying to argue. Again, just curious.

Mind-numbingly repetitive combat. No strategy and minimal skill -- just punch/kick/dodge mash. Learn Witch Time (perfect dodge to slow down time), then it doesn't work at a boss because...?
Very few in-game tips on how to rack up and maintain combos. "Here are the moves" and then they cut you loose to figure it out. No practice arenas.
Storyline that progresses like you're chasing meaningless sidequests in a random order, on top of scenery changes without explanation. Some of the worst storytelling in all of gaming.
Cinematics that drag on and on, focusing more on T&A than plot and character development.
Quicktime events that ruin your run because you didn't press the button quickly enough.
Camera angles that don't stay where you need them, making exploration and battles needlessly more difficult.
And the worst: no way to start at specific verses or backtrack, requiring full replays of chapters for that one item or verse you missed. Plus no tally of resting places found or Alfheims cleared per level, leaving you to guess and look up what you missed in a guide.
This game was ten times longer than it needed to be. The drawn-out ending had me asking "Is this over yet?"
I'd rather spend that $3.40 on a coffee.

You should play Bayonetta 2 or 3 because the developers listened to those who were new to earn it through blood games.
Those are still fun but I think much more your speed in terms of instant gratification.
Personally I enjoyed killing angels in 250+ combo style and for this price I'd buy a hot shot in hell.
If I didn't own. Thanks OP!
