I have the U7K from Costco and it's a great TV. The only problem I have with it is a laggy UI

Prob because LG panels are garbage. Samsung is the #1 most familiar brand name in TVs and some of theirs are lemons after a year. Hisense is a newer brand but has some great options

If you want to add another streaming box, that should work. I found turning on turbo mode and disabling the browser helped a lot. I just figured at that price, things would be nice and snappy. Honestly I bought the 55" Roku Westinghouse TV from target for my kids room and that responds more quickly by default. It's probably the Google TV software.
