First time I've seen the ingredient defatted almond flour. We in the US really do find new ways to make regular perfectly healthy things more processed. Also what is the point of high oleic sunflower oil if it already has regular sunflower oil and of course canola oil. So take out the good almond oil and add other grosser oils...

Despite my rantings, still bought to try lol. Quest chips uses similar ingredients

Do these taste good?

I can vouch that Mr. Tortilla chips are friggin' horrible, like flavored cardboard tortilla-shaped chips.

I also bought a sample pack from Ultra Slim Foods which are zero carb. The hamburger buns were okay, but really thin, almost too thin for the purpose. Any condiments soak right through the bun and no room for onion and tomato. Some of the sample items like the biscuit and donut went moldy before I could get to them. Being single, I can't just open the box and eat everything at once. But the shelf life is not good. Their cupcakes, cloud cakes all have such a crumbly texture that they basically crumble when you try to eat them. Like in the cupcake shell, you have to put it on a dish and scrape the cake out. Taste was okay but for the cost? No.
I still have their zero carb pasta (Impasta), a bag of their bagels and a loaf of their bread to try. The bagels are okay-sized, the bread a bit small. I'm not looking forward to trying them at this point because I have a feeling that as soon as I open the packages, they're going to mold before I can finish them.

Sorry, don't mean to thread crap. I appreciate deals on keto / low carb being posted. I'm just trying to find stuff that tastes good lol I'm type 2 diabetic btw.

This is actually a much healthier alternative to what you find in the ingredients of Doritos. You may notice the almondy taste and texture in Hilo chips (some like it but I don't). In my limited opinion for taste/texture, Quest is better than Hilo, but if you're extremely picky on your macros (like you're actively on a low carb diet) then Hilo may be better than Quest. Regardless this is very good price.

I purchased 3 boxes last week for $13.97 and was hoping that the price would drop even further so I could pick up even more. 😭😭 That fact that it's now on slick deals kills that hope for me.
I prefer the taste of quest but the texture and crunch of Hilo. Ultimate taco is fire though.

I've had these before and really enjoyed both their taste and texture. I was on keto at the time, though, and hadn't had actual Doritos in over a year. However, 12oz bag is available from Sam's Club for $9.28. The problem is they're often only available via shipping which is not free unless you have Sam's Club plus.

To add to my previous comment: these chips are an ebt eligible food but for some reason is not marked as such on Amazon. So if that's important to you, going with your local grocery store or Sam's Club might be a better option.

I hate to admit it, but my guts rot after eating gluten. As a former beer lover who enjoys a small bag of chips some days after work, I love these chips. Their quality control isn't perfect, sometimes I get bags that aren't fully sealed. Also I think the only flavor that is decent is the nacho which is always more expensive than the others.

Damn this nacho cheese shortage. Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)

For keto, these are the closest flavor-wise to real Doritos. The ranch flavor really tastes like Doritos cool ranch. The texture is crispy but has a slight almond flavor, but still good. For people on keto or limiting carbs, this really scratches the itch.
