This is a pretty decent price for a trip like this. Prices start at $1299, use the drop down to find your city.

I live in Panama and will say some of the photos they show in the ad are of optional locations for the trip (which you should go on ). The crystal blue waters and island photos are of the San Blas islands, which yes you can visit but appear to be optional in this package.

The hotel in Panama City looks decent, but I don't know it.

The hotels in Playa Blanca, I do know. I have stayed at all of them. They are all-inclusive resorts, food, liquor, etc. There are a bunch of pools and a nightclub, as well as other activities at the ones they list. Decameron is bigger then the other two, but the other two are a bit more upscale (rooms, restaurants).

Overall for flight, hotel, etc for 6 nights. Pretty good deal.

The rooms in playa blanca are not going to be 5 star rooms like you may be used to, but they are not bad. The better rooms being at the Bijao, then Riu, then Decameron, but more activities in the reverse order.

A few other notes: Panama uses US Dollars, if you are from the US, you don't need a visa. It's super safe, I live here. I'd even say it is safer than the US depending on where you are in the US. Depending on where you are in Panama, it can be very hot and humid to cold and rainy (all of the locations listed here, are going to be warm/humid like Florida weather. There are no hurricanes, so don't worry about that. The roads are often full of potholes, but you won't be driving on this trip so don't worry about it. In the locations you are visiting, there will be some English, but this is a tour package so all in English is my guess. Be careful of gringo pricing, you can always haggle and say give me the Panama price. Tips are not common in Panama, for exceptional above and beyond service - no more than 10% please. No one in Panama wants the tipping culture of the US Servers here don't get under minimum wage (yes minimum wage here is $2.10/hour), but the cost of living here (outside tourist areas) is way lower than the US.

3.5 stars from 2,435 reviews on TripAdvisor. You can stay for less at 4.5 star all-inclusive resorts on the Riviera Maya in Mexico.

No

Panama is in the Northern Hemisphere, so it's currently Spring and Summer starts this Thursday, the 20th.

You can definitely book this cheaper yourself. The hotel I was assigned was
"Royal Decameron Panamá - All Inclusive" which I could book on Priceline for 6 nights for $1100 after tax. Two flights from LA cost me $900. That's a $1000 savings over this "deal" which came to 3k from LA

Yeah no-it's in the Northern Hemisphere. Southern hemisphere starts somewhere in Ecuador (Spanish for Equator).

or you can take an ADO local bus from the airport to Cancun and then a local bus to the hotel. It's like $3 to Playa Del Carmen and just as fast as a taxi, often significantly faster than a shared van. Do a web search of "ADO bus from Cancun Airport."
BUS SERVICE is provided by ADO Cancun Airport and available from the airport to Cancun, Playa del Carmen, Tulum, and Merida. BUSES stop at all Airport Terminals and are available daily. BUSES go DIRECTLY to the ADO Bus stations in the different towns, BUSES DO NOT go to hotels or make any stops along the way. This is a convenient way to get to a downtown address or to locations other than hotels.

$2600 for 2 people for 6 nights - please do more than idle research before booking this. Victoria Hotel is on a back street and probably isn't where one dreams of staying for 4 days of a vacation. Look it up on google maps and travel sites - you will find reviews similar to, "Dirty and smelly hotel. We left for a better hotel after a few nights of bad sleep. The air conditioning smells like sewage and makes so much noise that you can't use it if you want to sleep." Plus side is it's easy walking distance to McDonald's, Subway, Wendy's, Taco Bell, Carl's Jr, Domino's, and Estación Iglesia del Carmen, a subway station. It is 3 stops on the subway to the station nearest to Casco Viejo, and that is a 15 minute walk if you know where you're going. I like Panama City, but I hope to never stay at that hotel. And, to get to the Panama Canal from the hotel, it's $0.35 per person on the metro (subway) to Albook (final station), then $0.25 per person on a city bus or maybe $3 in a cab from Albrook. Getting back, take the $0.25 bus and visit Albrook Mall (nothing special or particularly cheap), then take the $0.35 subway back to Estación Iglesia del Carmen.
Playa Blanca is more than kinda boring, and you need to read reviews. As OP stated, the pics are NOT from the places you will be staying - they are from the other side of the country.
