They had a solid reliable app and product. They recently did an update and the app lost a lot of features and it hasn't been running reliably for a lot of people. So there has been a lot of backlash in the sonos community. I haven't had too many issues as I just use the basic features, but it has brought out a lot of people with pitch forks. Reddit community has a lot of the details.

Seems like they have lowered the price on a lot of products since they screwed the pooch on their software recently.

Stay away. If this was 2 years ago this would be a solid deal. Sonos really screwed things up.

Got my first Sonos product in move 2 and thoroughly impressed with the sound quality. Software can be fixed hardware is difficult to get right

I know Sonos to be solid from a hardware and audiophile standpoint. Don't use the app at all but is the new version so bad/irreversible that they had to cut prices this aggressively? Sounds like a good opportunity to buy

Sonos has already pushed out 8 new updates since the release of the terrible new update.

time will come where everything is back to normal.

this is a good deal.

Dumb take especially on home theater you barely need to use the app it works great.

I continue to use my set no issues whatsoever.

The app has some annoyances but it's getting fixed.

Also for whoever said they're discounting after the app. That's also wrong as this has been discounted before and they have offered bigger discounts in the past 40 percent or 30 percent coupons

I just had to look at this to see if I could figure any way that a sound bar could be worth $1500. Unfortunately I've had to conclude that my ears aren't worth 10% of that.

They also don't support DTS. Which is kind of insane at that price point.

This might be an unpopular opinion but DTS-X is relatively better than ATMOS by a lot at least with my soundbar setup.
