Wow big thanks for posting this. Pulled up as $639 at the local Charlotte, pretty sure I got the last one. You get another 10% if you get their credit card, plus $15 off if you join their mailing list. Just under 600 with tax. Thing looks solid at this price point.
Probably shouldnt open a CC for $80 bonus. Waste of credit pull.

Looks like a decent laptop. Why the td?
Because Katana/Pulse models have a lower quality screen. That 144hz 1080p option is kind of a dead giveaway - still better than the low end models from a few years ago, but lacking in resolution, brightness, vibrancy, pretty much everything.

These are still being added to inventory. Cambridge was out of stock yesterday but has 5 as of this morning.

The problem with Micro Center is it's mostly in-store only and stores are few and far between. Why can't they just ship it 😡

Saw a Reddit post for a different product where the OP is asking if they could pay for someone who lives close to a store to ship it to them 😭

I have a similar one, the Cyborg 15, and it gets REALLY hot (as expected). The fan is controllable, but it needs to be running at full blast (and being super loud) for it to do anything. I had to drop the CPU power just to run cooler, but I did not notice too much of a difference in gaming.
Overall, it's not that bad, especially if you just use this as a desktop alternative. The plastic housing makes it flimsy to carry around, so I just leave it plugged in at my desk.
It has pretty good upgradability with two SO-dimm slots and an M.2 slot.
But I could have gotten lucky, but for the poor experiences I've had with laptops before, this is pretty good.

Where did you get the 15% off with the mailing list offer? I just joined and got nothing.

Definitely circumstantial based on someone's credit situation. This is slickdeals after all, if I have no intention of borrowing money then my score is free to "spend" on promos like this.
